Four readings on my home BP machine were as follows:
121/72
129/71
125/71
131/72

Pulse was 50-51 bpm each time (although my Fitbit showed 55-57).

My systolic is usually a bit above "normal", and my diastolic is usually below "normal". The problem I have is that, when my blood pressure is at or below "normal" (120/80), I tend to experience lightheadedness upon standing. When I've been fat with higher blood pressure, this didn't happen. I suppose smooth, flexible arteries are worth the possibility of fainting.

An interesting phenomenon after coming to from lightheadedness is a sense of hyper-reality (no idea what to call it) and visual clarity. It's as if things seem more real and edges of objects seem more defined. Odd feeling.
Maybe they're waiting for gasmasks and latex to get sexy again.

The world has become a weird place.

Had my BP taken often late last year, must have been normal as no comment was made.  I've have had similar experiences to Kavik, the light-headedness lead to me falling over unconscious a handful of times but lately it's not been that extreme.  The 'sharpened' vision is indeed strange.

Damnit, why am I seeing this thread after having my blood pressure checked...not good. 148/88. Never ever seen it this high and have it checked once a year. Maybe didn't help having that stiff cup of coffee before the test and a horrible diet recently coupled with work stress and a lack of sleep...

Alright gonna eat veggies, cut back on sodium and caffeine for a few days and have it checked again.

Coffee before a doc visit always renders off results. You should be fine... hopefully.

The 'sharpened' vision is indeed strange.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've never heard anyone else describe this before.

The light-headedness lead to me falling over unconscious a handful of times but lately it's not been that extreme.

I've only "fully" passed out once many years ago, but I frequently have to brace myself against a wall or take a knee while my legs (and sometimes whole body) do a jello twitch thing and my vision is occluded by dark ink blots.

After having been transported to another dimension when standing up two or three times today, I took my blood pressure. My systolic has dropped a bit since last month.

Three readings taken about 1-2 minutes apart were: 114/83, 117/72, and 107/61 (focused on breathing to slow my heart rate a bit on the last one). I guess these are healthier numbers than last time, but worse in terms of staying conscious. Pulse was 83, 72, and 63 respectively. That's a bit high for me, probably because I had to get up to get the machine. My normal resting heart rate is between 40-60, so maybe my real resting BP is even lower.

The PlantBased community has near 100% success rate in this area.

LOW-Fats is key.  around 10-15% of daily calories max, ~22g of fats. <counting everything you eat,  avocados/cooking oil/ tofu/ etc>

The way keto-fad papers have gamed their studies is by using people who are consuming nearly 30% calories from fat. so 30% vs 40% vs 50% calories from fat, makes zero difference in blood pressure. Their conclusion, fats make no difference in BP. They cheat gud'
