OK, folks. I'm so excited about the Infinity Keyboard that's about to close out on Massdrop that I went ahead and made pixel art for all the different available versions:

I apologize if it's is a repeat, but I did this one to match my HHKB Type-S, which has these extra keycaps on it.

I took this and made an rgb version.  Halfway through realized it was UK and made a US layout as well.

It would be cool if someone could make a gif with a rainbow.  I can provide the .psd file for anyone interested in giving it a try.

.psd is attached.  I decided to take 2 hours and learn how to animate in photoshop.  After many failed attempts I got it working very smoothly.  Someone can probably do it better but I like it :)

So who wants to hire a gif animator?

Hmm... It's at the fastest it can go right now.  How would I make it faster?  I guess take out 1/4 of the frames or so?  Like I said, 2 hours of experience  :p

EDIT: It goes faster in photoshop but when I save it, it runs at the same speed you see here already

EDIT 2: Got it! Took out 1/4 of the frames and set the image/second to .07

Hey! Very nice! I love the black lighting effect. I did the same for my Ducky Shine Mini though it's a tad more subtle than yours. Good job!

Very well done!

I wonder why no-one has though to do this before?  Ducky has some interesting lighting effects.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I thought about it but that's A LOT of animation frames and I didn't want to spend the time. I was going to do the Ducky light mode where it runs the snake back and forth down the board.

Although the image is not large (dimensions) multiple frames should not make the GIF too big.

No I was more thinking about time spent. 104 keys = at least 104 frames.

First of all thank you! And yes, it did take take a long time.. to learn.  After I got the just I just created an action and repeated over and over.  Had to manually get the rainbow perfect though.  In terms of gif size; I did notice that it slowed down after too many frames.  That is why I had to take out frames to increase speed.

Considering how small the gif keyboards are, you could probably cut some frames and trick the eyes depending which black light action you want. I think mine, the wave effect and easiest to recreate, has 6 frames.

Nope, I used Photoshop. I know the basics of Illustrator, but I don't like it compared to photoshop. I used the rounded rectangle tool for the curves
