Hi guys and girls, we are happy to announce that the popular cast aluminium cases, as well as CNC machined Silver cases are available for pre-order. The black cast aluminium case is incredible value for money, I've been using one for 3 or so months now and I have zero faults with it. The weight, typing feel are epic.
We are expecting these to be delivered in 2 weeks and all orders will be sent out as soon as they come in, plenty of time to get an early Christmas present in!

I highly recommend this case! It is cheap and make your keyboard more heavy and study and you can really feel the quality! My Poker II(signature) have it and I just love it!

They truly are amazing cases for the money, thats for sure. Still got my V60 in (yes they fit!) and I move my board around every single day in and out the workshop.

does the silver one fit a v60?
i know sometimes they fit but not all the screws work, im not sure how i feel about that.

I will take a look for you man. I have the black one, which has the same layout for screws, I have mine in a V60 mini with 3 screws and as I said, I am constantly using my V60 throughout the day and have had zero issues with it

Just a few questions that aren't too important, but I'm curious to know about either way:
1. What type of aluminum is it?
2. Is the board flat, or is that rectangle part at the bottom non-removable? Just wondering about the tilting options.
3. Do you design these and have vortex make them, or do vortex handle that? I notice they're different from the ones MechKeyboards sells

We are not at that point yet man :p The cases we've had from Vortex so far have been flawless

A few questions:
- Do you know if the CNC case is/will be available in any other color than plain silver?
- On your website, the pre-order form is only for one generic type of case--can't select black or silver (the CNC silver or color version would be the one I'd be interested in).
- And the third small question is, for shipping purposes, is it considered to be an "extra large item"? So £21.50 to the U.S. or could it be custom-calculated?

This batch will only consist of the silver and black cases. We are constantly looking out for new products so we may be able to get more colours in soon, I get a lot of questions about gun metal, green, blue etc, we will let you guys know as soon as we can source them.

Ah, the case is not higher than up to the plate, so you would really need a plate or the PCB would be quite exposed.

The plate sits lovely and flush with the case, if you have a PCB mounted Poker X or something, it would be exposed yea

It's part of the package , but not of the case , it's just put above it .

It is an standard Poker case; that, should fit the Nerd60 that fits the ABS version of the stock Poker case.

They have the regular stand-off of a poker, so I guess you could use it on your plate + handwire.

Verify that your plate has the correct hole to mount it onto a 60% case, as long as your holes are correctly positionned there should be no problems, there is plenty of room underneath the standoffs.

I finally put this together (all the parts got confiscated as birthday presents, then the plate needed modding) and it seems the case is designed to screw to the PCB as even with a thick acrylic plate there is a definite gap between the spacers and the bottom of the plate. That or my plate is too big and it's supposed to sit lower in the case? Don't think there would be room for the bottom row switches if it did...
