Looks like the quality has gone up a tick over CLS. Very impressed.

Agreed, but it's a gray one - my mistake. Can't wait to see the silver and black ones!

I wasn't brave enough for the PC plate - too worried about it cracking with my ham-fisted typing.
I'll pick mine up from the local post office tomorrow morning and put it together.

Got mine too. It's perfect.  Thanks, LZ. Can we build it without the diffuser?

I built mine without the diffuser. Actually I'm unsure as to how the diffuser is supposed to sit between the top and bottom part. Will appreciate if someone can show me how it should align.

Hey guys, relatively newb question - is the switch plate supposed to be screwed into the top before mounting the PCB and/or diffuser?

Mount the stabs on the PCB.  Then add the plate and switches.
Once you've done soldering it all together screw the plate into the top half.

You've got to snap out the middle bit and then break the cut-out for the USB port (see pic).

I did that last night but I'm getting hung up on how to screw the plate into the top half when it's blocked by the PCB.

You have to break that part off. It’ll take a bit of pressure, so be careful.

A ball of cotton wool soaked with acetone will help get rid of those flux marks on the PCB :)

LZ, you did an awesome job with this keyboard.
After using it for the last day and a bit I think I can safely call it my favorite keyboard to date.
The proportions of the bezels are perfect and the typing experience is rock solid.

Finished building it up today, PC plate is really interesting to type on  :). I'll see if I can get some decent pics of the finished build tomorrow.

One thing I noticed though is that the brass weight seems to be bent, causing it to not be flush on the bottom side of the board. Anyone else seen this with their board?

Have an issue with the keymap not saving everytime I unplug and plug in. Windows 10 would show "USB device not recognized" error message.
Keymap would revert back to default layout. I tried pluging it direct and via usb hub, both the same result. Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm.  Could be a short.
Did you add in-switch or indicator LEDs?
Got a photo of the back of your PCB handy.

Hmm nope. Just switches only. When I tested the pcb by using tweezer to short it, no issue. After assembly, seem to have this issue. Reset the firmware back to stock also. Photo wise, have to get back from work first.

I guess take it out of the case and see if the problem persists.
If the problems stop it's shorting on the case somewhere.
If not it's something to do with the PCB itself I guess.

If it's a short with the case and you've still got that rectangular piece of foam from the packaging you can try sticking it between the PCB and case.
Shelf liner will work too.  If it's the PCB a photo will at least give a hit of whether it's your soldering or something else ;)

The soldering job looks fine to me and taking it out of the case would have elimitated any of those possibilities too.
Are there any errors when connecting to the PCB using JigOn?
If you turn off all the LEDS (RGB and in switch) and "update all" the settings does it make any difference?
Failing that you could try reflashing the firmware.

If none of that works you may need a new PCB.
