Unless the ergo kit is going to turn into an assembly kit, it probably shouldn't have 1.25u in it. I understand not wanting to buy more than 1 kit for your needs, but there are many other options for the r5 bottom row to fill those modifiers.

I'd rather have alternate options for some of the other 1.5u keys; things that don't exist in other kits (r4 return, r3 ", r1 delete); or 1.5u blanks.

This looks exciting! I'll definitely keep an eye out for it.

If I wanted to fit this onto my Niz Plum Atom68 (65%), I'm probably looking at Alpha, Modifiers, and if I want colors, Accent Modifiers, is that right?

Any chance for some R1 - R4 accents for the Page Up, Page Down, Home, etc.?

Where are the 1.25u mods in that image?

My point was that you have the option to get whatever r5 modifiers that you want in other kits. If this kit is going to be expanded, it would be nice to have alternate r1, r2, r3, r4 mods that will never be available in other kits. I would still need to pick up another mod kit for the exact 1u r5 mods that I use.

The /dev/tty ergo kit has many options that would be nice to have in the ergo kit here (which are exactly the keys that I asked for)

The reason I posted that image is so that you can see that you get your choices and I get mine. Don't shoot down my critique coz you don't think it valid. Ergo kits need those keys, imo.

There are many boardwalk-esque keyboards now which use R5 1.5u's. and a fewer number which do 1.25u's. i personally don't use 1.25u's, but I will still mention them coz I think those need support too.

If you are implying that I use whatever R5 1.5u's I can scavenge with random legends from other sets but you NEED multiple legends for each key already present, is kind of ironic.

You can't use the R4 1.5u shift (and want enter) but want me to use random R5 1.5u legends and I have to purchase a whole set and even then I don't get the correct legends.

You posted that picture earlier as well, saying that /dev/tty added support for the keys you were asking for. How is it showing me that I get my choices? I get them if I go purchase /dev/tty?

I'm not implying you "scavenge random legends". You never even mentioned WHAT legends you want. Just that you want 2x1.5 and 2x1.25u r5. So presumably they can be whatever? The mods kit and nomad kits have 1.25 r5 mods of every type. You literally have your pick, if you choose to spend the money, of whatever coverage you want in r5. As do I. The ergo kit is missing some r1 mods that I need, but I'm not asking for those, because the other mods are more important. Those can only be added to ergo, and I can get those 1u mods in nomad if I choose.

1.5 r4 enter does not exist, nor does it make sense, in any other kit. If it did, I could just buy that kit if legend accuracy was important to me. Same goes for ANY 1.5u r1 or R3. If /dev/tty offers these as options, there must be other ergo users that can benefit from them. The only place for me to request these keys is in this kit. There is effectively zero chance for them to be included in any other kit.

If ext 2048 ergo has the same coverage as /dev/tty ergo mods, there is nothing more I could personally want, and any ergo users happy with that kit would be happy here. If other ergo users need different modifiers, I would prioritize the 1.5u mods in r1-r4 before adding anything else.

I'm done trying to make this case.

See devtty ergo kit. It fixes most if our issues. I posted that to explain how things could be done, an example of an almost complete ergo kit. It also contains the legends

I would like along with what you wanted as a discussion starter with the designer of this set on how to cater to ergo users. The designer can either use that same template or come up with something unique.

We both had feedback, and we could have had a conversation with the designer instead of YOU deciding how he/she should do it. If you want to make the decisions, run your own set. Until then, don't try to stop others from providing feedback. The decision will be the set designers to make.

Looks really nice.

Just my personal opinion - apologies if I missed it, but as italic is one of the main features, it would make sense to make the following also more obviously italic (could just be me but they are not that obvious)

Print screen
Scroll lock
Delete
Arrows
Ctrls

(edit)
Numlock
Divide and multiply signs

Okay. Good to know. I was confused because the voting thing only had a few of the sets. I guess the point of that is to have a pseudo-IC as to which set you’ll do (vintage vs regular)?

There is a generic-looking R4 1u Fn/Code key in Modifiers, as well as a second one in Nomad, why not use that?

I use the HHKB layout but instead of the 1u Fn key next to the RShift, I prefer to use that as a Ctrl key. There are definitely keys I could use instead, and there are matching >_ keys I could use in place of the Ctrl keys, but it wouldn't be perfect  :(

So I just wanted to ask  :thumb:
