Finally put my order in last night.
Thanks matt3o for allowing inter folks to get keycaps :)

But it looks like it's going to be the last time for you and other French and Italian people  :(

Why do I fear this? Well.. I've seen this discussion and comments all over the place. The community shouts for ISO kits in their native language but when the GB finally happens, only few kits get ordered. I fear that great members like Matt3o will stop making language kits available in future GBs. I am very new to the community and my statement might be wrong. Still I've seen this discussion hence my fears.

So to ALL of you who crave ISO kits in your native language. Beg, borrow, steal... Well, maybe not steal but sell some **** on eBay and buy this set!  :thumb:

thank for your post. unfortunately it is very unlikely that I will release more FR-IT kits in the future. DE/Nordic might still work, but there simply not enough interest for other languages.

I really hope we'll see more but it's already a misery for both the buyer and seller to get us those kits.
With the extra kits it's always a 150$+ bill when you want to get ISO in your language.
Finger crossed that the JTcaps will somehow help us out.

matt3o none of your keycap sets are 1.75/1.25/1.25/1.25 arrow cluster compatible :(
I'm a bit bummed, the granite comes pretty close at 4 1.25's - one 1.75 arrow_up and it would have been perfect :)

next time please participate to the IC! I would have gladly included them

...

Is the 1.75x Control key in the Pro mods kit really Row 4? Shouldn't it be Row3?

We included both! Bunny didn't update the image because he's lazy :P

Awsome! Thank you for that. Now the waiting begins... ;) What a great set!
Buying more keycaps,
it really hacks my wallet,
but I must have them.

Thanks for the info, I'm pretty new around here, I should start checking the IC's too :)

Edit: Just checked the IC thread, indeed I should've pitched in at that stage, even reading the discussions were so exciting

LAST 2 HOURS!

This would've been my first group buy; what is the likelihood of me obtaining a set after today? Would there be another round?

no round 2!

but you'll surely find some in the classified (and maybe bunny will have some spares).

That's what I thought. Rats. I'll keep a keen eye out.

The easiest way would have been to buy the whole pack then sell the caps you didn't want - breaking even. Now, it's going to very hard to find someone who will part with their Vim key. Your best option is to convince someone to run a GB for them

As I said a few pages back, there have been several rounds of vim keys produced at various times, there are lots of them out there. The classifieds subforum is your friend. :thumb:

By the way, I heard back from SP, blanks will be available in the keyshop after the keyset is shipped

I think they are planning to make this a regular thing, as I interpret from the reply, which is just great for people like me

Anyway, this is great news, I will probably buy a lot of R4 blanks to try them on as the arrow cluster - I have a hunch the GTM might go well with the True Retro - if it doesn't work out, the original color is a safe bet

One thing I learned from this GB, I shouldn't leave things like these to the last minute, instead I should finalize my plan for a keycap set at the IC stage

Thanks, I didn't pay attention to that

However, still it's not sure whether it would apply to the Retro GB, as this won't be a keyshop set for sure, well it applies and I hope it keeps applying ;) I need those blanks! :)

I'm already having second thoughts about not ordering the Lime and the Alternate Functions :)

Just in case I decide to use 75%'s one day and seek those colors, it's a distant possibility, and even if I bought those packs, I would probably use the True Retro keys, however it would have been great to have the option :)

I was afraid that was the case :)
I'm so very tempted, let me do more thinking before it's late

I'm trying to select what keys to put for the rightmost 1u R1 R2 R3 R4 spots on a 65%/75% layout, but I can't seem to pick keys

The challenge is the Del, with Pro Mods it's possible to put it almost anywhere, the R1 near backspace makes some sense, however R1 PgUp R2 PgDown R3 Del R4 Fn/Menu might be nice too

Anyway, better get them instead of rambling too much, should I PM Bunny to ask whether there are any available? (as far as going for extras go, I'm also still itching for a second True Retro/Pro Mods combo :)

I'm pretty sure bunny will take some extras. Hint him what you need and you will probably be able to grab it once the keys are produced.

bro set took 8 weeks

it really comes down to how busy sp are, but i would say 8 - 16 weeks would be a very fair and realistic window

At least it's good that they are busy! :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
