Leaf Series

Back in 2018, we released our first leaf-themed custom keyboard kit, Leaf80.
Also in 2018, Leaf60 with the gasket-sandwich structure was introduced.
Both keyboards achieved great success.

Leaf 65%

After two years, finally, we bring you Leaf65, a new member of the Leaf series redesigned from the inside out.

Several original design elements have been kept, including the iconic curvy side profile of the bottom case and the engraved Leaf logo.

Middle Frame

Both Leaf60 and Leaf80 are relatively plain-looking boards, but we want to change it on Leaf65.
After testing several revisions, we are the most satisfied with the current version with the exposed middle frame.
Choosing different materials and colors for the top, middle, and bottom cases can create plenty of exciting combinations for your preference.
Justing giving you some examples of what can be achieved:

(The final color options have not been decided.)

Not just for aesthetics, the middle frame is also designed for important functional purposes.
By moving case screws from the bottom to the middle frame, the case is screwless from the outside now.

Mounting System

The plate mounting system has been upgraded from gasket sandwich to PORON sandwich.
PORON is a foam material that provides a better muting performance.

Features Planned

Top, middle, and bottom cases in different colors
No visible screws
PORON sandwich mount
PORON mute plate (optional for using between the PCB and the plate)
New custom rubber feet

I'm generally not interested in running R2 GBs so Key65 is probably not gonna come back. It's possible that I'll run a GB for Lock65 in the future haha

Underglow LEDs are not in the current plan. It is possible to solder RGB stripes though.
I always want to make smoky PC boards but never find reliable material suppliers.

Senter! This has been a long time coming. I loved the leaf60.

One thing, I'd get rid of the mounting under spacebar. As it currently stands, this is going to make space very stiff.

You should do a limited run of full pvd brass in gold and rose gold like you did with the leaf60. Those are beautiful and i will buy one for sure. Otherwise i think the middle exposed portion should be polished steel or brass.
