I don't know the actual weight of the 'board + packaging yet...so I can't make an accurate estimation.  You'll pay the actual shipping costs.  And for those of you not in the US or Canada, I will present the various options and let you decide how you want it shipped.  There will be no handling fee.  Actual shipping costs only.

Are orders still open?

If so, how does the function layer work? Do we have a map of it?

I hope its OK to ship to Aus...

Just a quick question, what sort of plug does the USB cable use on the keyboard?

Additional documents added to the first post.  ANSI is the only layout available right now.

The USB connector on the keyboard is the USB mini b (just like on the Leo, HHKB, etc)

I'll send it to you via whatever method you prefer...and you'll pay the actual shipping costs.  Don't have the weight of the keyboard with the packing materials yet, so I cannot estimate costs...but you can look at your preferred carrier.  It will be coming from Columbus, WI (USA - 53925)

Is this NKRO over usb or PS/2? the spec sheet didn't seem to show and I couldn't see a pic of the cable.

Is there any option to get an otaku key set?

What I think I'm seeing here, correct me if I'm wrong is a USB NKRO keyboard with no indicator leds at all? That is something I'd pay for, I'm just sure if I want reds or browns. I think I'd probably go browns because I love the feel of browns.

This particular order has no option for an otaku set, but if you get any Standard ANSI blank key set that will fit a filco that should do, considering that the pictures that sixty took with the Dolch Replica Keys from SP are perfect for a filco.

Is there any option for the keycaps that were on it in Sixty's review?

The black ones with embossed legends and the function layer marked on the side?

Which of the two fonts are we getting, by the way?

The one shown in the pics of the PBT keyboard in the original post, or the futuristic, das keyboard esque font shown in a later post?

Neither of these things really matter, its more a matter of curiosity.

Two questions before I commit:

1) Does the n-Key rollover advertised in the spec sheet work via USB, or will I need to find a USB -> PS/2 converter?

2) Is a USB cable provided in the package, or will I need to find one of those as well?

Also, this will be my second mechanical, after Cherry Blacks, and I don't know if I want to go with Blues or Browns. I've thought about getting both, and then selling the one I don't want on here to someone else at a slightly lower price. Anyone think this is a good idea?

Yes, our politicians are the most corrupt in the world too, but hot women will not let us go. But it would be possible by FEDEX shipping to Brazil?

I believe with USB you actually get 6KRO (and NKRO with a PS/2 adapter).  Might want to check with Sixty since he actually reviewed this keyboard.

It's a valid question, and may determine if this is the right time to be doing this or not.

The KBC poker is made in Taiwan.  Has anyone verified if routes from Taiwan to the U.S. (the initial destination of the shipment) are bypassing Japan?  There is an embargo on all non-emergency shipments out of Japan right now.  Those keyboards could sit on a dock or in a warehouse until the embargo was passed and the backlog reached our group buy.

It is referred to as either a 60% or a 40% keyboard.  It has 60% of the the keys that a "normal" keyboard has (or "missing" 40% of the keys).

I'll be placing the order at the end of the month.  Approximately 6-8 weeks for KBC in Taiwan to produce the keyboards (to order)...12-14 weeks for the Cherry MX reds.

Once I receive them, they will be shipped out to you. (same as what sixty is doing for the EU folks)

Note, I will be ordering more then what is pre-ordered here...so there should be additional ones for sale.  But I can't guarantee what switches I'll have in stock.  And pre-orders will certainly take precedence for order fulfillment.

Will the entire order be shipped to you at once?  My real question is:  Will the delay of the red cherry boards become the delay for all?

If so...mid to late July timeframe for delivery, yes?

iMav, maybe someone asked this already, but I don't want to go through 8 pages of comments...will you be testing them before you send them out?

Also, although you may have extras, we do have until the end of the month to order then, right?

I just started giving this some thought, as I would like something a bit smaller than a 10keyless.  :)
