Title: Hori fighting edge in Germany
Post by: mehtez on Mon, 05 November 2018, 03:20:12
Hey,

does anyone of you know, how to get the Hori fighting edge in Germany? Or, how it compares to the Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai?

Thank you!

All of these arcade boxes work the same way..

IMHO, it's more fun to diy..

There's not much to it really,   it's a wooden box with 10 buttons and a joystick.. wired to a game controller.

The Hit-Box controller  is actually the more precise way to play fighting games. But, in the same way, it just swaps the joystick for 4 buttons.. which greatly increases accuracy of inputs..

A real physical joystick is superior to buttons or a D-pad for diagonal movements.

Mmm.. in the hands of PROs , maybe the advantage is not large..

All inputs are subject to a slight delay in game, to account for diagonals.

From the user end, it's still easier to time a perfect diagonal with buttons vs joystick..

There's also the possibility of adding 4 more switches to act as perfect diagonals.. by closing 2 corner lines simultaneously.
