Suited Up Keycaps
“French Cuff” Sale Teaser:  A Miracle in Paris
by: Bambino

Part 1 of 3

Ah Paris, the city of lights.  The music in the air, the sounds of her cafes, the motorbikes whizzing through a picturesque scene.  After donning your french cuffs and dice cufflinks, you step away from your 19th-century hotel, board a horse-drawn carriage, and hoist your miniature travel companion aboard behind you.  He always appreciates when you bring him up to a man’s-eye view.

The “click-clack” of the horseshoes on the brick laden road drowns out the bustle of the street, but makes you long for your blank-DSA-PBT, white-LED-backlit Vortex Pok3r with Cherry MX Greens (unsilenced, of course).  Alas.  You remind yourself that you committed to spend at least one night off of the computer while you were in France.  Hungry for distraction, as you ride onward your eyes are filled with views of travelers from foreign lands.  Their colors and faces pique your interest as the streetlights drift overhead.  You wistfully wonder if any Asians among them would be willing to serve as a proxy.

Stay tuned for parts 2 and 3.  The Suited Up Keycaps “French Cuff” Sale is coming soon!

Even though I thought the culture of Paris was a bit overrated (or, rather, wasn't suited to my taste), their food was absolutely phenomenal.

All these artisan teasers are great for hyping!!!

What do you mean by any Asians willing to serve as a proxy? I'm sorry, but this reads as a derogatory metaphor.

It's not.

At all.

It's pretty common here for Asians (Chinese, Koreans mostly, with other countries as well) to import and export keyboard paraphernalia under one account, hence serving as "proxies."

Suited Up Keycaps
“French Cuff” Sale Teaser:  A Miracle in Paris

Part 2 of 3:

In the distance, an ornately sculptured museum houses copper and bronze antiquities from a lost age.  Their lustre and brilliance remain intact and on display so that the world can gather here to marvel.  These are the grand sights that you planned to come so far to see, but somehow, they only remind you of the sheen of your gold-toned zinc-plated novelty key collection.

Suddenly, a chill wind draws your attention to the history of Paris.  As you turn in its direction, views of the crypts and cemeteries scattered through the city remind you of the countless kings and military legions who have previously traveled these roads.  You wonder how many souls remain entombed beneath the very earth you traverse, much like the scattered and lost IBM Model M Industrial SSK’s that go unnoticed and unappreciated in forgotten storerooms and landfills across the world.  Some tragedies are simply overwhelming when dwelt upon.

Stay tuned for part 3.  The Suited Up Keycaps “French Cuff” Sale is coming soon!

So let's say my name gets pulled from the raffle, does that mean I get a random keycap of those that I've selected, or I get to choose from the pool?

So let's say my name gets pulled from the raffle, does that mean I get a random keycap of those that I've selected, or I get to choose from the pool?

You get to identify up to eight preferences in your order entry form, and each keycap is "raffled"separately. You also select the max number of caps you want to buy.

Let's say one of your preferences is for a Coppertone Duke. For each Coppertone Duke available, a random entry from the pool of entries that selected at least one Coppertone Duke will be selected to buy it. Another entry will be selected for each remaining Coppertone Duke until they are all matched to buyers.

So you get to choose which caps you want up front, and then you get to buy whichever ones are matched to you in the drawings, up to your keycap limit.

You only need to pay for keycaps you win. Select as many preferences as you like!

I only ask that you select preferences for keycaps you are willing to buy if your name is drawn for them. If you'd only be willing to buy one model, don't enter to win another type. This lets others have better chances to win.
