Apple Magic Trackpad Hack

This isn't mine but I thought it looked quite cool:
http://www.keyboardmods.com/2010/10/magic-keyboard.html

A multitouch "keyboard" built on Apple magic multitouch trackpads.  Actually, since I think Apple bought Fingerworks (who used to make multitouch keyboards, the TouchStream) this is like the circle being complete.

Looks like a potential future solution to people wanting a new (two part!) TouchStream-style keyboard.  A friend of mine had one and he believed that the ability to do mousing and gestures direct on the keyboard helped him avoid RSI, even though the typing action was not as nice as real keyswitches.

I found this project via Hackaday: http://hackaday.com/2010/10/31/keyboard-concept-uses-magic-trackpad/

Wow using 2 Apple Magic Trackpads to simulate a Fingerworks TouchStream is a great idea. There's a lot of fans of the Fingerworks products, they have their own forum here: http://fingerfans.dreamhosters.com/
Kinesis Contoured Advantage & Advantage2 LF with Cherry MX Red switches / Extra keys mod / O-ring dampening mod / Dvorak layout. ErgoDox with buzzer and LED mod.
Also: Kinesis Advantage Classic, Kinesis Advantage2, Data911 TG3, Fingerworks Touchstream LP, IBM SSK (Buckling spring), Goldtouch GTU-0077 keyboard
