how is the torrent speed with Comcast these days.. I think they're back in my Area... perhaps if I could get a comparable deal from them.. i 'd switch back..

but how is the torrent speed-.. are they still modulating?

I ditched comcrap because they qos everything. your speed test gets wonderful priority. but they throttle netflix, youtube,other video streams, and torrents to crap speeds.

I have U-verse now... Not that bad, apart from when I'm playing Bf4. Ping spikes galore.

22.63 down, 2.87 up, unlimited.

School has similar down speeds iirc (no firm numbers), but the up is also in the 20s.

I don't often do large downloads (linux distros, videos and steam games are as big as it gets for me), so most things I need are done in a few seconds, barring server issues.

Try changing your VPN port to TCP 443 it may do wonders ;)

I`m waiting for my British ISP - VirginMedia to give me a free upgrade to 100 Mbs - up from 60Mbs in the next month or two.

Meanwhile, my Download speed and Ping time is okay but my Upload speed is terrible and you can`t change the ratios without jumping ship.

on Virgin your upload speed is supposed to be up to 10% of your download. I'm on 120Mbps download, and can sometimes hit 11-12Mbps upload.

You have the advantage of a synchronous connection -- up speed ~= down speed

You may complain, but your uploads are actually faster than mine :P
