Oh god the layouts I looked at apparently did not have R3 Del. It's so hard with sub60 boards bc people do different layouts and it's so hard to know what's standard xD Let me talk to Upas about it thanks for pointing it out!

Will the Ergo set not have any icons/text on them at all?
I just responded to you on reddit but - I talked to some ergo users and apparently y'all are a wild bunch and don't have a set amount of legends you use in exact places. Since it was a later add on I didn't want to mess it up with having a half assed kit so I will do more research on that for my next set :)
Am I right in saying that for a 65% UK ISO board, I just need the Eternal Alphas, Eternal 60 (Text OR Icon), and the Eternal UK? Just those three?

Yeah DZ60RGB hotswap is basically 60% layout with 1.75 shift and arrow keys.

The minimum MOQ is 24k units, so the set can be made no matter what, but we have priced at the second tier at 54k which is why I have stated the 54k goal.

Does the 60s/TKL Mods support TGR Alice layout (the split spacebars)?
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Kinda.
If the left half of your alice has a 2.25u space and 1u mod, then the only thing you'll be missing is a second B, which you can fill out with another R1 key (up arrow, end, page down).
If you have a 2u space and 1.25u mod, then you'll need to use the 2u shift key which will be the wrong colour for the row.

Is it just me or does KAT profile look a bit like squashed marshmallows?
I keep seeing the keys as little marshmallows that have been gently squished vertically so that they bulge slightly at the edges.
It's building the excitement for me for whatever reason.. I just want to feel the little squashy pillows. Any chance of a marshmallow material instead of PBT? Not sure if it works with dye sub.

I was just lucky that Nightcaps liked the colorway enough to make 2 different cws! If you notice there's 2 variations (teal eyes vs dark eyes) and I think every active sculpt is being used? Which is why we ended up with so many caps :)

Order has been placed to Keyreative (as of last week).
New expected shipment month is May 2020 (still within projected Q2 ship, but I had originally put April). Turns out production is slated to finish in mid April now (I'm assuming due to order quantity and CNY).

They do look slightly off, but that might be due to the lighting, as you said, or the possibility that the sample pics were taken from an iPhone, rather than the far superior cameras from phones using the far superior mobile platform, Android™ by Google LLC.

Check the vendors and ask around, sometimes they order extras for sale and you might not need to wait until R2 unless you want some less common kits :)

Due to coronavirus production delays (1 - 1.5 month delay), we are projecting that completion will be pushed back a month to June. Production for the base colors have already started. New molds need to be made for new key sizes and dyesub process still needs to be completed.

Milkshake delivered and had some issues. Mine were fine :) but some sets had alignment issues.
As Eternal is slated to ship in June (nowish), one would assume the manufacturing has completed.

Keyreative is still packing and shipping is being arranged with vendors. Alex or zFrontier thinks the set looks nice and this photo is a phone photo provided by him.
The stepped Capslock issue is also resolved:
The Stepped Capslock from Milkshake had some tooling issue, the stem is a bit misplaced and thus making it shifted a bit into the A key. People would find that the left edge of the caps is not flush to the rest and in some extreme cases it may cause the Stepped Caps to brush against the A key. This is fixed now!

Shipment to vendors has already left China. However, some Chinese customers have already received their sets and have raised complaints about the spacebars experiencing too much shrinkage. Keyreative will be remaking the spacebars! This will cause a few more weeks delay as the vendors will have to receive both shipments before shipping out orders.

TLDR: some of the spacebars are warped and the reverse dyesub process on the spacebar keys are not up to standard. also some people are unhappy with the gradient. there's also some smaller issues regarding discoloration/gradient on the sides of the larger keys (weird, because my kitty kat samples were completely fine), customers unhappy with the texture of the complete cap, flow marks, etc.

Actually, the color is off in that render but it should be that row and in the same color as the other keys in the row. It's meant for people to use one mods kit with 2 alphas kits and cover 2 boards that way. If you're missing a key I suggest to request a replacement from your vendor!

- extra tab
- 6.25u spacebars in both colors
- 7u spacebars in both colors
If you ordered 40s/Ortho you should be receiving 1 extra cap:
- 1u shift

I'm wondering about the matte finish though. It seems... inconsistent? It's almost like the caps were washed in soapy water and then not rinsed. To make up a word, they're 'smeary'. (legends perfectly clear though) Is this the nature of the KAT matte finish?
This isn't a show stopper, but I'm wondering if everyone's sets came out the same way.

Yeah I just tried putting my set on, and the spacebars (both colours, 7u) do not return at all. They are very stiff and just stay depressed. They are also very difficult to get onto both sides of the stabilisers, unlike my GMK spacebar.
I suspected the post position was incorrect because I've been using a GMK set with no issues. I took both spacebars off and measured the post spacing.
From the inside of the cross between middle post and either side post, on GMK peaches and cream it is 56mm on both.
For both sides on KAT eternal it's 55mm. Exactly a mm shorter, so the outside posts are closer to the center by 1mm each side. Is this not an issue for anyone else? None of my spacebars work because of this..

I tried mounting my 7u's. The original spacebars wouldn't even mount properly for me. The replacement ones mounted, but there was some noticeable sluggishness. The alpha-colored bar bound sometimes and returned pretty slowly. The accent bar was better, but still didn't feel right. I compared it with another KAT spacebar from my KAT blanks set, and it was a very noticeable difference.
To add insult to injury, the stabilizer wire popped out while I was trying to mount the original bars. Fixing that was fun.

I paid almost 200 euros for a set with a mistake. If the factory cannot assume it then the seller should. I hope that mykeyboard.eu will do something about it or at least offer a full refund.

I believe i should have gotten the replacement set (received only 1 set) since they can be mounted but having issues with the spacebars not returning. Currently the teal 7u one kinda works (tho still sluggish).
Love this set but a little disappointed with the spacebar issues.

I initially contacted Cannon Keys late November regarding some scratched/scuffed keys. I followed up in the middle of December and they said they were waiting to hear back from Keyreative.
Since then, no updates.

mykeyboard.eu servers as the vendor and proxy. They don't design the kits. The kit was designed and placed in IC for a long time.
GB's are not like buying a product in a store off the shelf unfortunately. Errors are frequently made by kit designers and it's up to the community members to catch them. When I go to an IC I look exactly which keys I want and if they're in the kit.
I agree with you that this is not ideal, and maybe there's goodwill and a possibility to get a replacement, but I wouldn't make the assumption.

So sad I missed the GB back when it was live, only got the deskpad :/Sign up for the newsletters for all the websites that were selling it, or check those websites often, and you might be able to snag an extra.. It'll be A LOT cheaper then trying to buy it off someone.

I got in contact with zfrontier on Jan. 12 and haven't heard back from them yet after they stated they had reached out to keyreative. I even did a follow up with zfrontier on Jan. 23 and still no response. I get the situation, but it still sucks and has made me reconsider purchasing any keycaps from them in the future.
Reached out to Cannon Keys today, waiting on a response. I checked in once in December; they haven't updated me since then.
Unfortunately since KAT is relatively new, it seems like there aren't many manufacturers making them at the moment.
I feel the same way you do about Keyreative. Sucks. Gonna pay a lot more attention now to vendors and manufacturers going forward.

I did that yea, but I don't think they'll have any extras atleast not that I've seen so far, that is why I asked here, but I made the mistake to ask/buy here which isn't allowed and I saw it a bit too late.
And I know it would be a lot cheaper to get it from mykb.eu or somewhere else, but as I said, I don't think they'll have extras anymore

Just as soon as my package is no longer held for ransom, maybe I can enjoy this almost two years later. Not having a great experience with my first group buy so far.
