What is Zhuyin?
Zhuyin (BoPoMoFo/Mandarin Phonetic Symbols) is the official transliteration system of Taiwan.
Zhuyin utilizes phonetics rather than the romanization of characters (IE: Pinyin).
Although Mainland China uses Pinyin, Zhuyin is still heavy used in Taiwan.
Now there's an age old discussion of which is better, Pinyin vs Zhuyin (the answer is either).

As a friend from Taiwan put it, "it's old school".

Reason for this kitting?
We wanted these kits to offer great flexibility and compatibility with your extra keys from WOB, BOW, or practically every base kit out there.
The extra tab key allows you to kit out two full boards if using this alongside Minimal or WoB.
The extra 6.25 and 7 unit spacebars allows you to use this as a drop-in alpha kit for ANY set.

Some examples of potentially good matchups: WoB, Minimal, Monochrome, Metaverse, WoB Hiragana Micons, WoB 40s extension, WoB 40s Micons
These are just some examples but ultimately, you can have fun mixing and matching and seeing what you think looks best!

Not to worry, I believe there were a good number of vendor extras. I'm anticipating receiving these soon, so I would expect the vendors should have Zhuyin in stock in the next couple months.

Interesting. So varying textures on the top? I suppose enough usage would even things out in time, but I can see the inconvenience in both the look and feel. Sounds like QC from GMK is dropping off the edges as has been proven with a few other things. I can only imagine since we have many dozens of sets in the queue now with many thousands of kits.

I did notice a bit more texture on my Zhuyin WoB spacebar, but the alphas weren't uneven by row or anything like that on mine. Perhaps I haven't paid close attention, but if I check again, I'll make sure to note it.

If it's one of those things that will even out over time, it wouldn't bother me. I'm just concerned that I'll have a difference in texture forever. I'm not one of those people that gets freaked out over shine.

I just checked both my WoB and BoW sets, the texture is indeed different across the whole R2. It's not as noticeable on the BoW keys, you can definitely tell under normal lighting with WoB though.

Just throwing his here for documentation. I'm not too worried if this shines out, but it's a little bit of a bummer as I was trying to do a proper time-lapse of "the shining" and it's very apparent there's a texture difference.

zF brought this to our attention a little time ago. Mike and I have been working towards a solution to this problem.

We did not want to pre-emptively post without having all the details. Please expect an update from either of us on the situation once we figure more things out.

I believe the issue was that the texture on R1(qwerty) is different than the other rows. Additionally it's not as noticeable as Metaverse since the keys are WOB or BOW.
