Seeking advice for mini-usb hack on filco majestouch 2

So I have a majestouch and I want to stick a mini usb port on it so I can use some 15 foot cables I already bought. Is this possible? I opened up the filco and found where the usb meets the board. Can those 5 wires be easily fitted to a female mini usb port? Would it work?
