I like it!  Yes there are extra PCBs.  I'll send out an invoice!

Thanks! Do you have the pinout and key matrix posted somewhere?

https://github.com/evangs/tmk_keyboard/tree/master/keyboard/tv44
Getting a 404 error. The folder above it exists.

I had an old version of tmk forked. had to delete and refork.  I updated the url but here is the new one again https://github.com/evangs/tmk_keyboard/tree/master/keyboard/tv44

What pin is the backlight array connected to?

Backlight is toggled by the caps lock state. Easy enough to change though.

Hmmm... Not a PWM pin though, so can only be on or off.

I've actually modified the firmware to enable it based on a toggle layer with nothing on it.  Not a pwm pin but could be done in software :/

Have you tried loading it on a PCB yet? I think you have to invert your matrix scanning.

I'm probably looking at the wrong schematic. Is the current one in your github repo?

Van #0008 :thumb:

67g tactile Zealios
2x3x4 white LEDs inside the switches
PMK grab bag SA keycaps

Some assembly notes:
  • PCB is blank, no pre loaded firmware. There is no power/status LED.
  • The hole in the PCB for the screw to the left of the first stabilizer is off center. I drill it out with a small drill to make the screw fit.
  • Resistors for LEDs are 330ohm. With white LEDs that's about 5mA each, with red/green it will be closer to 10mA each.
  • PCB pins of Zealios fit snugly, not super tight like in some other PCBs
  • Bottom of plate is a little rough/sharp careful not cut yourself

Fit an finish on the case is excellent. :thumb: Quite a difference to the floating keys design of the Planck.
Everything aligned perfectly except for the one screw hole.

Looking forward to your next project! :thumb:

If anyone needs a hex file to test their board I have one here: https://github.com/a0-c/Planck-Parts/raw/master/tv44_lufa.hex The lower right key will toggle the backlight.

This is awesome! Thanks for posting.  I have noticed the same issue with the mount hole to the left of the 2.25 key.

I would love to do SA, as of right now, that probably won't happen this year as SP is back logged all the way through November :/

My order, #29, was delivered today. I have to say I've been very impressed by this group buy. The attention to detail Evan put into this really shows, from the components themselves, the various timely updates, to the way everything was carefully packed, right down to the hand written note and bonus stickers included in the package. Thanks Evan, you did a great job. In all honesty, my Van probably won't see much use, but it looks great on my desk. I've heard whispers of a Cargo Van in the works, if you decide to do a full size build, I will definitely be purchasing one or two. :D

I'm #25 here. Came home to a package and was thrilled to see the board. I can echo everything Mike said. Great group buy, consistent updates, quick turnaround, and fantastic care in the end result. You could really tell that this was more than an organized buy, it was a passion project. I look forward to the future projects you have been alluding to do. Back to this buy though. As a pen nerd, I very much appreciated the handwritten note. Only other place I ever get that from is Goulet (fountain pen/ink/accessory vendor, and while its something I look forward to, their notes are really a marketing tool to pimp the inks they sell). Everything inside looks great and was packed meticulously. Love the color and quality of the case. I was going to wait for my next set of Zealios and some SIPs, but having it in front of me, I think I might just use some blues I have on hand, just because I'm pretty excited to get this built. Will probably use this for writing prose on my laptop.

Thanks Evan, and congrats on a great buy.
