I *love* everything by the Pixies.  Check out this early recording:

'I've been tired', the second song here:

Everything from the Doolittle album is sheer perfection, though other albums are amazing too.  This one's from Trompe Le Monde:

Nice  :thumb:  Love the drop at 2:45.

Here is one I keep coming back to:

Sucks that it has a commercial.  Also, listening at work it sounds funny on my basic 2.1 setup.  Much better with some quality cans or a good sub/monitor setup.
wut. i'd buy a ****ty IBM board for that green V2

That's a gem!

A few more of my favourites if you wanna check 'em out :

Kahn - Dread / Late Night Blues (Dread has been handsdown by favourite song for many months. Such a heavy song.)
Zhou - I Remain
Pangaea - Router
Burial - Kindred
Machinedrum - Gunshotta (coming a bit closer to jungle)

Some good stuff there, especially the Machinedrum.   I come from a D&B (Jungle/Atmospheric) background, and that Machinedrum track is very similar.

One of my all time favorite tracks:

When I first saw your screen name, it immediately brought me back to 97' when I picked up Modus Operandi.  I used to listen to that album over and over, it drove my friends nuts (they were all into metal and hip hop).

Back in the late 90's it was hard to get good D&B in the US, but I had a buddy that visited his family in the UK once a year, and every time he went, he would pick me up an album or 2.  This is one of the ones he brought back.  Had it on CD when CD's first came out  :thumb:  Looked home made.  He brought me 3 different Bad Company albums, and a bunch of Roni Size.

I love Aleph 1. I'd say it's my 3rd favourite Photek track after Complex and Ni Ten Ichi Ryu. Pulse is great too, I've always loved BCUKs sound.

It's not often I see people who're into oldschool jungle, especially not people from America, since the scene was miniscule at best when jungle was thriving. How did you first hear it?

Jim Guthrie's Thousand songs that I bought in a Humble Bundle a while ago. It's weird... why not as background music for coding though?

I listened to the latest Vaginal Fantasy hangout last night while collecting sources for an essay. Call me crazy, but it didn't distract me at all.

My buddy in High School in the early 90's was listening in his VW bus on the way to the beach one day after school, and I immediately loved it.  I come from a drumming background and loved all the various beats.  I was also into the heavy bass stuff (had a pair of 16" subs instead of back seats in my Karmann Ghia), and was really bored with the bass tapes.  The D&B let me get the bass, but also have some music to go with it.  I got a few of my other friends into it, but they all fell away into the trance/hardcore stuff, while I stayed with D&B.

That's really cool, man, and it's awesome that it's stuck with you all these years. I've never played the drums, but I've always loved them. It all started when my dad used to play me Jimi Hendrix (Hey Joe in particular) & Led Zeppelin when I was a kid. I haven't liked drum and bass for long though. Until a few years ago I liked metal & rock. The first song I heard was this on some CoD montage. I instantly loved the sound of it, and from there I found my way to all the crappy, weak "DnB" and "dubstep" (e.g Skrillex). Grew tired of that quickly and then started listening to the good stuff about a year ago. Recently started listening to dubstep, and I'm really loving it so far.

I too have started to really enjoy dubstep.  It feels like a good extension from the original D&B in that the beat was always the focus.  I am not really into this brostep stuff, but there are a few that I can put up with.

One of the other Artists I enjoy a bit is Deadmou5.  Was listening to him way before he blew up, but I did find a mix by Nero of "Ghosts and Stuff" that I like:

Age of Empires OST, the one included on AoE Collector's edition DVD. It's really awkward, lots of electronic effects and few songs are basically rhythm'n'blues.

Naked + Famous, Great White and Billy Squire. I'm feeling nostalgic. I need to get a Billy Joel playlist together soon, too.

How to Clean Everything and Less Talk More Rock are a couple of my favorite albums, not a fan of their sound from Today's Empires and onward though.

I heard about Grateful Dead thanks to Barlow's work for EFF (heh, he was actually one of its founders), and kinda wanted to know what it sounded like. Here's a random album I'm listening to right now:
