Status update at 13:24 PDT:

All US order that would fit into a USPS small Priority Mail box have been packed and a postage label applied.  Some of those were done before the mail carrier came by, so some are already on their way.  The rest will be given to the carrier on Monday.

However, something like 15 "small" orders won't fit in a small box, and really need to spend the extra $6 to upgrade to a Medium box.  My preference is to just do that and trust that the impacted people will promptly pay a PayPal invoice for the difference.

I have set the impacted orders aside for the moment, and we will move on to packing orders for people outside of the US.  I am open to suggestions about what to do with the over-stuffed orders.

Maybe try to get a box that's just enough bigger than the flat rate small to fit everything?

Medium flat-rate box would not be cost effective.

small size flat-rate box: $5.80
any size box under 1lb cross county via priority mail: $6.95
medium size flat-rate box: $12.35

So this will work for US shipments.  I need to get some boxes, but it will be just another couple of bucks I think.

International orders are worse; the next step up from $24 Flat-rate priority is $37 for a customer-provided box.  Or, of course, I can step DOWN to first-class which will arrive, well eventually.

I'll look for mid-size boxes on Monday for both.  And if it works out I will do the self-packing for US orders and figure out the cost for the ROW.

All orders that fit in a single small flat rate box are packed.  All US orders that were supposed to fit into a medium flat rate box and did are also packed.  Medium boxes for non-US destinations will be packed shortly.

Orders that won't fit into a single box (small or medium), including those targeted for a pair of small boxes will be packed after I acquire shipping boxes.

There may be a couple of orders that won't fit into even a single medium box.  Those I will handle on a one-by-one basis during the upcoming week.

We are tired, but there are a lot of boxes ready to ship.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this GB a success!

I climbed up the step ladder and took some pics but it was on Ron's digital camera not a smartphone so they'll have to go through a PC to get here.

Yeah, I'm labeled incorrectly (not JwaZ).

Great stuff today.. Pretty sweet getting try out Model Ms and an F, full boards with greens/stock clears, fully modded KMACs (one had ergo whites!), five different Topres, and a Kinesis. Can't wait for the pool table picture.

And sorry I had to bail so abruptly - I'll make it up to you guys next meetup!

the person smallfry can't identify is jwaz. the person smallfry thinks is jwaz is cgbuen. thanks a ton to everyone who showed up today AND extra special thanks to [)amien and input nirvana for pulling the long shift with ron and i.

twas a great meetup. shame about all the picking and packing we had to do. will fix this for next time.

eta: no problem on the bailing. i hope everyone was alright.

eta2: krog's banners KICK ASS IN AND STOMP ON THAT ASS. the colors are vivid and detail is fantastic in person. if you're putting together a medium to large meetup in the next month or so ping samwisekoi so he can forward on a banner or two to you.

I would have loved to hang out all day and finish the packing but alas I had other constraints.  Meeting Input Nirvana was a special treat as he was the first person I ever interacted with on the forum.  I posted in a Kinesis thread and he thanked me for the review.  He's as chill and good-natured in person as he is online. :)
