The Element 60 is a keyboard inspired by other open source projects such as the BMEK and Bakeneko 60. As I recently got into keyboards, which can be seen through my subpar geekhack post count, I wanted to explore the sound and feel of different mounting styles. That is why I attempted to develop a multi-mount system.
The goal was to have a largely uni-body design alongside small mounting bracket with the the ability to try out top, bottom, and gummy gasket mounting. I have also left enough space to accomodate a 4mm plate which can be bottom mounted. Technically by using a gasket in between the case, plate, and mounting bracket you can also try out a terrible isolation mount.
The case features a place for a unified daughterboard and is compatible with other 60% PCBs that have a JST connection such as the H60 or Plain 60 (Flex).
I will be uploading the files to an open source github repo:

I hope to get a prototype and itterate on the design the the future. I will be documenting my progress here for other to see. I am open to discussion and duggestions!
