Lubed vintage blacks are the best.  True story. They're all I use in all of my boards.

1988 unlubed blacks are the best

Just as smooth as lubed 'vintage' blacks, but without the slight sluggish feel.

Toxic looks gorgeous on there! :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

I would but I don't exactly have an abundance of them.. I've got 101 Nixdorfs and a G80-2000 with them, but that's it :'(

If I get any more I'll send a few your way ;)

Look for G80s with year code 'A'. Also, Cherry-made Amiga/Commodore boards are even older [according to DT wiki] and come with blacks too.

Nice boards! These are the first pictures I've ever seen of a 356CL.

1
2
3
4 (356C, but the 356CL looks the same)

The DGE is '356CL Dark Grey Edition' in full. It was made as a budget version of the CL. No brass weight in the base, no angled case. Instead, it's a flat case with feet. It's like a more beautiful KMAC 1.

is there any place we can easily buy boards like the 356CL, KMAC, or any other aluminum cased board or are they all generally only accessible through group buys and such?
Not that i have the money for it but i'm just curious.

At that price you're about $150-$200 above a GON fully built.

I find it about that much cheaper to buy one from classifieds, unless you really want to build it yourself.

Just my 2 cents. I do really like the KMAC, and if you want one over a GON I don't blame you lol.

I have a 1.4 PCB in a box behind me, actually. I'm probably gonna 3d print a case.

is there any place we can easily buy boards like the 356CL, KMAC, or any other aluminum cased board or are they all generally only accessible through group buys and such?
Not that i have the money for it but i'm just curious.
356 is only group buy, but some KMAC's are available here: http://kbdmod.com/product/list.html?cate_no=4

For me, at least, the biggest draw on the Corsa was the case. The PCB on the Corsa and other OTD boards is pretty **** lol

I assume you'd need a Korean proxy for this?

Does a GON feel as solid as these full aluminum cased board? i have a NerD TKL with the acrylic case on the way and figured i'd probably still end up wanting a full aluminum board eventually.
Kind of rethinking/regretting my purchase because at the time i didn't think of the fact that these boards have notched plates so i could just swap out the stems if the bought board didn't have the switches i wanted.

DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. You have no idea how cute she is!!! That show has me melting every weeeeekkk ~~~ So bloody damn cute. Show is about celebrity dad's having to take care of their babies and toddlers alone for 48 hours without the moms. Truly a heart-warming show.

356.2 has the best case design imo.

Sorry I tried to use spoiler to hide the images but it's not working, is there anyway to hide them so the pics won't cause lag issue?
