That's kinda creepy :))
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Looks great! I assume you got it from winkeyless. Can you tell me what you ordered exactly? I can't seem to figure out the website and what I have to order for a presoldered PCB without switches, what I have to write in comments etc. seems like I am not smart enough  :-X

Presoldered RGB with controller for around 60 if you're talking about bface or bthumb. As for case, it depends on what you prefer. For me, the diffuser is the best looking one with the RGB lighting below.

So for a presoldered b.mini (with rgb LED strip) ill buy the pcb, choose yes for solder controller and RGB leds, buy case, then buy 80 resistors (in case I want switch led later on) and 80 diodes and then add $18 extra charge for soldering the diodes and another $17 extra charge for soldering the resistors? is that how it works?

sorry for hijacking this thread for this :-[

Perfect! except for one thing.
(The model is not B.mini, but B.face!!)
You don't have to add diodes nor resistors if you order the pre-soldering of diodes and resistors.
And after adding extra charge, leave a message "pre-soldering of diodes and resistors for B.face" at Checkout page.
(If you solder it youself, just buy parts.)

Do you have "IF Acrylic case"?
At the moment only BBB Acrylic case is compatible with diffuser.

How are you liking the gaterons Bowji?  :)

Theyre great! TBH I wasnt a fan of linear switches so I modded my red switch num pad I had. However the gateron switch has made me a believer of linear switches. Comparing it to MX reds and blacks, the Gateron clears are so much better and smoother along with 65g sprit springs, they make it perfect. I still prefer tactile switches but if I were to choose among the linears, gateron would be my #1 choice.

I resorted back to lurker mode the past week to build my first custom keyboard, reading and taking in all the info from GH to build my first custom keyboard. My first custom Korean board+practice board: "B.Face"
-"MonsterMask" customs 60% : B.Face
-65g Gateron Clears
-Mirror back (Transparent w/ RGB LED)
-SP DSA Wyse

Special thanks to all those who helped/contributed in the Q&A and Soldering threads <3

Looks great! I assume you got it from winkeyless. Can you tell me what you ordered exactly? I can't seem to figure out the website and what I have to order for a presoldered PCB without switches, what I have to write in comments etc. seems like I am not smart enough  :-X

I ordered the B.FaceR PCB, the "R" is the one with the switches rotated so that the LED is on top. I had to message Monstermask through KBDlab to get diodes and resistors presoldered for a little extra, but Im sure you can email him directly with any inquiries. The top RGB LED is pre soldered but the bottom row has to be bought separately if you want two rows of RGB backlights, it comes with wires so soldering them on is simple. You will also need to order bolts and screws from the winkeyless store if you plan to buy the housing from "hanaacryl". And the rest is same as any other custom boards (stabilizer, switches, etc).

Hope that helped  ;)

Someone messaged me about the layers on the housing, they are a combination of "half transparent white" and "half mirror". The "half transparent white" is what gives the frosted look and the "half mirror" is what turns transparent with backlight.

(Back:"half mirror" w/o backlight, Raisers: "half transparent white")

How are you liking the gaterons Bowji?  :)

Theyre great! TBH I wasnt a fan of linear switches so I modded my red switch num pad I had. However the gateron switch has made me a believer of linear switches. Comparing it to MX reds and blacks, the Gateron clears are so much better and smoother along with 65g sprit springs, they make it perfect. is the half mirror option available in hanaacryl or you sticked a film on your own? if it's a film, what film did you use?

The half mirror is a acrylic color option hanaacryl offers, the "quotes" were a direct translation. One thing to note is that they only offer that color in a specific thickness; T3 IIRC.

I really need money...

Sick board bro.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done
