New Gateron keycaps on that 86 key plate/PCB I just built last week.  :thumb:

Is that a KMAC and if so what model?  It sort of looks like one to me, but I could be all wrong.

Also, great looking board!  I'm really digging those Gateron keycaps too.  :thumb:
Kmac 2, one of the best in the series imo.

Thanks for the deets. :)  Was the KMAC 2 available in WKL as well as Winkey?

The more I look at them, the more I want one.  I wonder if a KMAC 3 will be released anytime soon.
Yep! PCB's available in both, Sherry had them for a while, but they've since been discontinued unfortunately.  Yeah, I would have though another would have surfaced by now since the KMAC 2 is pretty old.

Ah, man, I think I actually saw that a long time ago on his website.  At the time, I was only just beginning the hobby so the price scared me away.  :))

The group behind KMAC is dead. Duck was one of the people on the team AFAIK

Oh, I didn't realize.  I can definitely see similarities though so that makes sense.

Cross-posting this from Last's assembly thread.  He just finished putting my Viper together and took some shots.  I cannot wait to get this in hand and throw some caps on it.  Last is such a bro. :-*  Next up...LZ-SQ. :p

You have too many good boards! Are you sure you really need the Ctrl Alt special edition? :P

Nice board though, really like it. Is it a duck v1 or v2?

You can never have enough pink/purple in your life.

I'm not as familiar with Ducks but I don't believe Vipers had a v1/v2?  Were you thinking of the Duck mini, maybe?

I wasn't sure either! It is just that I had never seen Vipers with LED on the side so I thought it could another version than the one I used to see. :)

Ahhhhhh.  Yeah, they have SMD LED's in the side.  That's actually one of the big reasons I really loved the board when I first saw it. :))  I'm not as light crazy as Last but I still like some shiny things sometimes. :p

How much does a kmac 2 usually go for ?  I'm sure its probably very hard to find one unbuilt so I'm asking about a built one and as far as programmability goes how are they. I bought a Gon and in the Time It took to get to me my tastes have evolved a bit. I'm more into the full aluminum body subtle yet sexy and built like a tank look now  :p   I really love how spartan it looks(kmac)and simple yet so sexy and the gateron red alert caps looks great  :thumb:

Honestly,
The market offers a lot of new options for well built aluminium keyboard, belive me because I turn sissy everytime I see aluminium made pc parts

I own a KMAC2 and also own various korean aluminium like ducks and LZ. In terms of aluminium quality, thickness and anodizing I give thumbs up to the ducks

Key mapping wise, they're all the same. You need to put some effort to learn them but English GUI Key mapping software really helps like the Nerd, Finger (lz)  and ducks.

Besides original KMAC2 pcb doesn't offer full led, and to find one is considered lucky let alone determining the price

lol you've two?

Yessir, love it too much  :)).

god I love these black kmac 2s....pair it up with some nice thick dye subs, a nice classy coiled cable and a very minimal and yet functional artisan and bask in the win

I know! I would love a coiled cable and perhaps a translucent KBK, but I can't afford to spend any more money!

I ended up getting my second one, yes! Thanks ;D! It took a long time, but I finally found the second one.

New viper w/ergo clears waiting on Originative to send me the rest of the keys that were supposed to come with my order 8-/ (that's what I get for ordering from them) also I tried putting Ivan's Round 3 BoB set on and the 7u Spacebar would not reset all the way after depression (so frustrating) I messed around with it and couldn't figure out what the problem was. It was bent but not too bad and i couldn't see rubbing. I'm hoping someone reads this and has a solution  :)) as my plan for this board was Black on Black ! Anyways the thing is a tank and I love the heft of it!!

Edit: I am looking for a pair of acrylic side inserts for the viper if anyone has a pair that they want to get rid of please PM me 8)

2nd Edit: Also looking for some GMK escapes if anyone has a few they could sell and a Black 7u Spacebar either way that's what I'm looking for on top of some acrylic side inserts and a custom black coiled  cable coming in to finish the board. The plan is everything black except a small splash of color from the smd LEDs
