Wow that looks great, I'm really kicking myself for passing up on a CP. Glad to see some Triumph Adler in action too, been dying for my Jane to arrive so I can get some use out of my TA set. Do you have any LEDs installed?

I only have the indicator LEDs and the default RGB LEDs.
I probably won't ever put LEDs on the switches themselves. I'm starting to move away from fancy lighting.

I like to have a little illumination under the caps for when I'm on the computer at night and such. I'm planning on using white and blue LEDs but keeping it dimmed, especially because of the light bleed. I like to at least sip socket all my switches even if I'm not using LEDs just in case if I ever sell it, get a new keyset, or change my mind. I forgot to ask, what switches did you put on your LZ CP?

Ooh very nice, I'm more of a tactile person but I'm planning on trying out these vintage browns for my Jane, they don't feel too bad just pressing a single switch.

It looks absolutely awesome. I like that the 1800 is a compact tenkey board, but that takes it even further and consolidates space. It looks perfect!

Yessir! :D Did it with the Eagle specifically because it has backlighting, which was obviously meant for MX, but will work on linear alps too. I hand drilled LED holes for 83 switches last night. Uuugh. All day yesterday was work on this project. It was intense, but it'll be worth it!

Dumb question, but do Winkeyless's cases work with plates? Or do the switches have to be PCB-mounted only?

Winkeyless cases could possibly(?) work with a custom cut plate, but I haven't seen anyone do it.

The plate is included in the case - It's the top piece.

They switches can't be PCB mounted, as the PCB relies on this plate for positioning/mounting.

They can be the pcb have holes for PCB mounted switches. At least for the B.face

When people say the switches are 'PCB mounted' they typically mean that there is no plate involved: The switches are soldered to the PCB and the PCB itself is mounted to the casing.

The Winkeyless cases don't allow for the PCB to mount directly to them - they rely on the plate for this. So, while you can use the PCB mount switches with the extra plastic pins, it's still a plate mounted board.

Gotcha. I have a board built by a fellow GH member and I went with the Leandre/JDCarpe plate. Didn't want a Winkeyless case initially, but now I may get one or a Tex acrylic.
