I can't wait to get my Octagon so I don't have to be so jealous of you guys. :'(

The jealousy never ends, it's never enough. I find myself getting more and more jealous after each post. :p

I have a feeling that you are correct... Oh and I put in my order for R2 of the Zealios!
I need more keyboards to hold all of these keycaps.

Very nice, Octagon v2 with Zealios, now that'll be a board to be proud of. ;)

I so want to get a second Octagon v2 in red with a flat acrylic bottom and modify the PCB to work with Alps, but I feel like I'll have too many Octagons. I can't imagine rotating them that much to really feel like it's worth it. I rarely use my Octagon v1 these days. D:

The main plan for the v2 was to put in some clicky clear (vintage MX white) switches in zealio housings w/ 62g springs and GMK SNES and that'd be that. The last foray for me into MX, but one I think would be SICK.

I think having a red 75% with a PCB modified to use Alps and THEN adding blue Alps to that would be sick as well.

Decisions, decisions. I could do two v2s, but I don't know if it'd be responsible.

Haha I hate deciding on switches, still can't figure out what the hell I want to put in my LSv2 or Jane CE.

Not sure if I like the black on silver look. I had imagined it would have looked better.

I think the black on silver looks really good, especially with how you can see the red plate through the gaps!

MX whites in zealios housing, we'll that sounds interesting. Any particular reason?

Took me 200 switches of mx whites to have enough constant clicks across my LS

Ahh, I mean the vintage whites, the ones with translucent sliders. I just wanted a completely clear/translucent clicky switch with genuine MX sliders. I thought it'd be nice for the Octagon v2's RGB to diffuse through.

Be careful using Cherry sliders with Gateron housings, I tried putting cherry clear stems into the milky gateron housings and they all had extremely high (early) actuation points. Resting my hands on the keys would trigger a keypress. Swapped back to cherry bottoms (tops are okay) and everything was fine.

Oh my, well... I hear that the original Gateron switches had contact leaves that did not play nice with Cherry MX Clear stems. From what I understand, Zeal's design rectified this issue, so I should be good!

The only things that weren't cross-compatible were the leaves in each's respective housing

Nice.

I can probably count the number of assembled Ctrl Alt 60's I've seen on one hand.

I don't have an issue with French style if it is a French board (this isn't even French style btw).

I have a problem with mixing all different types of ISO legends together to create an ugly frankenstein set.

I can't see the left side but I'm going to guess that it's the LZ RV from the side profile.

Edit: now that I look at it, it's ever so slightly different.
I wonder what it could be
