Brass plates are definitely cool, I wish the were shown on the Jane series but the added weight is nice. I could kill somebody with one lol.

I'm kind of dissapointed that The jane series uses a small brass as opposed with the OTD board which uses a massive brass
Yeah it doesn't bother me that much because wants I'm using the board I won't see it anyways whether it's a Jane or OTD.
I can't quite figure out if typing with or without the brass makes a difference. I suspect it does, something about the reverb of the case when you bottom-out. I think the vastly denser brass absorbs the impact much more than the aluminum (with a chunk out of it) which is most notable on the spacebar. Of course it could be the placebo talking.
Also, I don't have a scale but by hand the assembled board with caps minus the brass bar weighs as much as the brass bar alone. Not surprising given that brass is more than three times denser than aluminum 6061.
As for linears, lubed vintage Black with stock springs can't really be wrong. Also anything but OG Cherry or GMK dyesubs on them should be a punishable offense. JTK TBD
