No, sandwich mount has screws  basically   the screws go into the bottom, then the plate, then the top  all in one

gasket mount has no plate screws  and instead uses gasket material to isolate plate from case.

Yeah, it's crazy that out of the blue both of these went up at the same time, since it's a rather rare layout. But this is the exact layout I'm looking for (all standard key compatible in a 65% layout), so count me interested!

If you can make this work at that price point, you would be doing a HUGE positive for the hobby

I like the layout but I think it could look even better with just the Japanese in the logo, might be a little too similar to the kyuu for some people but eh we’re all weebs here no ones going to contest

I have some pretty high end boards but at this price I would even want to pick one of these up, good work :)

My suggestion is for a foam/silicone dampening pad that can go between the plate and pcb. I have a homemade one for my current keyboard and it helped out the ping noise a lot. Maybe your design won't have ping, but just in case I'd recommend this.

I think he's trying to keep the cost down, honestly, I would mind doing the foaming myself if it helps to keep the production cost lower.

Really not liking the design of the badge. Instead of that font, and Kanji i'd maybe just look for a simpler font and maybe a an arrangement like "SA at the top and KA right below it.

Pink or Rose Gold and I could be tempted.

Badgless with good colour options and I'm 100%.
Guessing this is one of those post on GH then have all communication go through Discord type deals based on the fact OP hasn't replied here at all. Surprised to see it's going to GB given there's been zero replies to the IC.

At the price point I'd still be interested, but I'd also still rather see badgeless or at the very least the awful Comic Sans'esqu font go.

Yeah the thread here is pretty outdated but incase you guys haven't join the discord (for whatever reason), there is a bunch of updates that includes prototypes, case colors and sound test as well. Also, the font on the badge has been removed like few months ago.

Pink or Rose Gold and I could be tempted.

I know it's like the new norm, but I don't see the point in creating a IC/GB through GH that just funnels people to Discord. If you start a thread here and don't update it, what's the point?

New badge does look much nicer though!

I agree entirely.  If you start an IC or GB thread on GeekHack you owe it to the community to keep that post updated as regularly as your Discord server.  That includes announcing when a GB goes live, or what format it will take.  Recently on several occasions the GB thread that a lot of us would have been watching for updates, only received its GB LIVE post at the same time as going live which meant that by the time you saw the post the GB was over.  Fair warning should be given and GB threads should be keep up to date.

I also agree that the new badge looks great.

It support screw in pcb stabs?

Name: 坂(Saka) 68
...
PCB Mount Stab
...

Yes it does, like the IC states. This is simply referring to the type of stabilizers you need for assembling the keyboard. The screw in PCB mount are in general prefered over platemounted stabilizers. The names are kinda self explanatory: 'screw in pcb' stabs are mounted with screws on the pcb and 'plate mounted' stabs are clipped into the plate.

thanks for the reply. the only thing is i couldnt post a gb thread is because I have no enough post count to post a gb thread. will try to find a way to increase post count and then post the gb post asap.

yeah sorry for not updating for a while. kinda hard to keep up updating all the post and did not have enough post count for a gb thread. but now I am trying to gather more counts.

thanks for liking the new badge. myself also find the new design looks better, less crowded

I think it's USB-C. The creators are a lot more responsive on their discord channel if you're interested in more info!

Case in point, I'm seeing this for the first time like 4 months after the GB has been over, and I would have loved to get in on it. :( I know that can happen any time with any GB, but update posts would have increased visibility, and there wasn't even a GB thread for this one.

apparently it hasn't arrived at the EU vendor candykeys yet... and they are unsure when it will... they did get a invoice for a big order in, which they suspect it is the sakas. so maybe stuck at customs/shipper.
will post if more info is there.

ask the cargo train why it didnt arrive yet. Candykeys and Feather cant do more than just wait for the train to arrive at Candykeys
