The Filco keys are not that bad, in fact they are not bad at all. They just aren't special, unless you consider the coating special. Just because we nit pick that they are coated, thin and what type of plastic they are, does not mean they are bad. If you have the money to replace them, then you can get extra key features. If not, then you can rejoice that the keys are keeping down the cost of the board, in order that you can enjoy what it offers. The keys are already gonna last longer than Logitech, Saitek, Razer, etc.
Although, I have blank keys, so really the only thing they're gonna do is go shiny some day, which all keys do. I want to replace my Filco keys, because I want to, not because I need to. That is an important distinction.
