Whoah didn’t expect this to be UCF related when I opened it. Looks great so far, and only thing I wouldn’t mind is a PC version myself although you touched on that. I know the intent is to keep it simple, but you should definitely consider something like a styled lance, or mounted knight engraving (on the inside?) reminiscent of the old school logo. Will also echo a left blocker as others stated.

Good luck with the process and I’ll definitely be watching this as an alum

Hey, it's mid June, so I hope the marriage part of your timeline went well. Any updates on the other June items, like prototype V2, videos, or even GB? Thanks.

Hey guys, last time I talked to Robotical, he made some changes to the interior of the case. These changes are determined by extensive daily use so they are for the better in term of consistency and comfort. And as of now he is waiting on the second round of prototypes. He will also update you guys on the changes soon. Meanwhile I just rebuilt my knight75 with vint blacks in 70g.

I was having a look at the Ultratec minicom, but couldn't find the model with the correct sublegends as seen on the Knight75. Do you know the exact model? Sorry for hassling.

Update time!

I want to first apologize for the delay and I really am appreciative of those with ongoing interest in the project. The project is moving once again after I had to take a bit of a hiatus for various life stuff. In the mean time I finished up my revisions. Manufacturing of the second case prototype is completed and is in my hands! Maarten is working on the PCB design revisions and the pcb prototypes will be ordered as soon as he is finished them up. Final details on that will follow.

First up, let's cover the main changes that you may or may not see.

PCB/Plate Revisions:
  • Plate is still undergoing some fine tuning, so what you see in the prototype may or may not be one of the final plates available. I want to be accommodating as possible with the plate without compromising the feel of the plate.
  • PCB layout support can be seen below

Case Revisions:
  • Inner fillet increased slightly
  • Top round increased slightly
  • Bottom to Top Case fasteners moved inwards and enclosed
  • Side curvature profile raised by 2mm allowing for a bit more grip when lifting
  • WKL variant added

Weight Changes
  • Interior weight design adjusted to fit in case better
  • Interior weight depth changed from 3mm to 4mm to maintain original weight
  • Interior weight fasteners changed from 2 to 4 screws
  • Internal weight sandblasted finish because its not visible

Here are some pics of the new wkl prototype:

Better pictures will follow once I build this thing up with the new pcb.

Once again, thanks for the continue interest.

I believe it is the Ultratech Minicom IV, you can find a few on ebay.

I assume that there will be different top options because of the layout options?

Since this seems to going to be an unlimited GB, I assume extra PCBs and plates will be available?
The new Hiney IC on the Alps caps got me thinking about getting two to switch between an MX and an Alps build.

I am going to have an option to purchase extra plates and PCBs for those that would be interested in doing so. Plate files will also be available if you want to go try out a material not offered.

Does the Alps plate support MX style stabilizers?  Some Alps keycap sets use MX stabilizers.

Are you referring to the upcoming Hineybush WoB dsc for alps or the Alpines Winter set from a while back? The plate files will be open source so that can be included that in the published plate files. Please note there are 2 restrictions:

1. Support pcb mount MX stabs only
2. Support caps made by SP only. DOES NOT support OG caps, those caps have different spacing than mx standard anyway so they wont fit in the first place.

I am very interested in this board. There are sadly not many 75% boards with ISO support at the moment.
I would be super happy if we could make the typing feeling somewhat forgiving... not totally flexy like plateless but not too stiff either.
