Post by: tp4tissue on Fri, 30 July 2021, 08:09:19
Home-bound life seems m0ar green.

Drivin' anywhere feels like a huge waste or resources. tp's van weighs 4500lbs. just 1 dude, 4500lbs of metal, going 60mph.

Stayn' home playing on laptop, ~150watt peak. Piano 0 watts.

What are your staple indoor activities ??

your car is heavy man, my family sedan is only 990kg (2182.58lbs if google is to be trusted) and i still think i should get a lighter car...

for the question my staple activities are playing with the cats, playing video games, cooking/baking, watching youtube videos and listing to music.

but get yourself a lighter car, more economical on fuel and more fun to drive. only the 300kg between my father's car and mine makes a huge difference in driving enjoyment, so i can't imagine the 1050kg extra yours has.

Tp also has a 3500lb car, just giving an example.

But point, is even at 2000lbs, that's 10-20x the weight of the person.  We really need those robo taxis.

they still going to be as heavy (if not heavier for all those batteries), and running empty all about the place, not sure it will help any to be honest with you

My car is 2250kg (or how would chyros say: in imperial units - 3498*64-3 yee-haw googling hot-dog gloo-floofs :D )
3 years ago I moved from regular sedan to this suv and I like driving heavy car.
For me fun is to drive this big heavy machine, I don't need to have fast car, I never felt need for speed - like those *******s sometimes seen on streets in city center speeding like crazy.
