I have a '96 Opel Astra (was rebadged as a Holden here in Aus, but it is really an Opel. The Engine cover says Opel as well as all the parts and even that badge thingo under the hood with the manufacture date).
I picked it up for $500, unregistered with a cracked windscreen and some minor body damage. And thought it would be a nice easy fix up for a first car. And then I found out just how much European imports cost here. -_- I love the car to bits, but over $2k later on some minor engine spares and I haven't even driven it yet because there is still another $1k of work to do and then I still have to get it registered for driving and because of the slight body damage on the rear (doesn't affect the driving, just looks a little ugly) nobody will insure it. I'm currently torn between trying to sell it or hang onto it for another few years for when I have money to rebuild it.
At the moment I drive my mother's 2011 Nissan Micra.
My dream cars would be any of: Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X, '69 Chevrolet Camaro, '69 or '71 Chevrolet C10 pickup (my dad rebuilt a '69 shortbed when I was 2-3, beautiful vehicle), Nissan Silvia S14, Nissan Skyline GTR35 or a 1985 Toyota Hi-Lux SR5 4x4 X-tra Cab (like the one in back to the future).
