Hi, friends of GEEKHACK.We are from mainland China customization team - Matrix lab, we have designed many keyboard (10XVseries,8Xvseries，Abel series, Cain series,Mona series, etc.), Thanks to many foreign friends' love for us, we released IC on GH for the first time in the name of the team. Before that, we started group buying more in China. This time, we will conduct group buying on a global scale.
NOAH is the up and coming first 65% form factor keyboard by Matrix Labs.
Being the first and only 65% in the ABEL range of boards, NOAH retains the overall aesthetics and refinement of the ABEL series. The board is trademarked by a sharp outline, thick bezels and a chamfered edge (which has been ever present since the first ABEL and many might have missed). The use of a chamfered edge lends a well-balanced look and breaks an otherwise harsh outline to the edges of the board.
The 7 RGB LED indicators are not only aesthetic but serve a functional purpose.
The end side of armor strip still follows the style of ABELX,according to the component’s different colour and structure for reduce bulky feeling.
The back side of the keyboard,we use multilevel mosaic structure in this side ,it will make the users feel more layered and three dimensional in the visual effect.
The keyboard employs a TOP MOUNT mounting method.

A little question....As from the exploded view, the mounting plate seems to have 5 screw holes /mounting point only.

It seems there are 3 pieces for this case(top, bottom, and back), will all 3 pieces available for polycarbonate so it would be full polycarbonate board? Render for full polycarbonate would be great.

IIUC, Taobao will only be used for handling payment, and you can pay with any visa/mastercard credit card. Shipping will be handled separately.

i joined the recent 1.2 GB on taobao. It was my first time purchasing on taobao and i didnt fail, I think the instructions were pretty clear even when google translate is a little wonky. lol

Anyone know how to actually flash these? They seem pretty similar to the Tada68 in which you put it in reset (hold escape and plug in), and a drive will show up on your desktop. You then drag and drop your bin file on and exit reset mode. I haven't been able to exit reset mode at all. I've tried every key, and not even ejecting drive seems to help.
After drop the bin file, you need to eject the drive with the OS's menu, then re-plug it to the computer.

You can use http://iatkb.com to make a firmware, and then turn of the light by F13. I have implemented eeprom emulation on my qmk branch. So you can turn off the light permanently.

I jumped on it because I really like Matrixlab's design but after getting my board, the anodizing is done really nicely and the fitment on my board was very good. The packaging is real nice and it came with a bunch of extra screws and bits which is a nice touch. so that's why I would recommend it to someone interested.

As stated earlier, people don't always buy a board for its quality, at least not quality/design alone. What can really make or break a purchase can be programmability; for example, the AbelX is not programmable aside from being able to change the color of the LEDs. I believe previous boards were the same, but the Matrix 2.0 and the Noah are both QMK programmable. Having said that, I don't regret buying the Abel before deciding to buy the Noah (Partly because I didn't know when it'd be available lol), as I don't really need to change my layout.
Anyway still excited and patiently waiting! I imagine not very soon since the global situation, but that's okay for me so I can save more money :))

From what I understand, the situation is that they are too busy fulfilling previous orders and simply can't afford the manpower for any GB, especially an oversea one. So no specific date yet. Until this part, I totally understand. However, they are doing monthly in-stock sales of Noah, occasionally limited amount pre-order if the colorway is new. These are limited number runs - around 100 units per month. Here comes the interesting part: it's always FCFS in a botter-friendly environment (our beloved Taobao). No raffle. And this is the part that I don't understand: no raffle; no attempt to block botters or flippers (you can see ppl selling multiple kits of Noah in Reddit after each sale). So if you live in an area where the loading speed of Taobao is physically limited/can't read Chinese, here are several ways to get yourself a Noah: 1. wait for the indefinite international GB to happen; 2. secondary market if you are OK with the premium; 3. join the dark side or befriend someone who's already on the dark side.
If you sense any negativity here, I'm sorry - that's bc I really love their design and I get a little upset when I see the lack of effort to block botters and alike. Hopefully they'll do better in this regard!!! Good luck, Matrix.

That's nice to hear.
I just hope that they go with something else than Taobao for an intl. groupbuy because it's literally impossible to buy from there for many people (I can't buy from there because German credit cards aren't accepted for example) and having to go through a superbuy agent for a groupbuy is not really nice either.

They are very active in the Chinese QQ group.
rn an international gb doesn't really seem to be their priority.

i remember one of the matrix mods told me the Matrix 2.0 ADD/OG would also run an international GB a week or two after the China GB. never happened lol

I cross All my fingers for a group buy to happend. Here in Denmark there isnt many 65% boards that supports iso. The design is so sick on these!
I find superbuy has expert sourcing service for groupbuy stuff. May you can try to contact and figure out whether it works or not.

I actually really like the Tools and Toys engraving, it fits with the overall vibe of the board. Maybe give the option to not have any engraving? I'd hate it to go altogether though.

Yeah, not to be insulting.. but when I see Tools & Toys.. it reminds me of Fisher Price, or Toys R Us. It does not exactly seem premium and I wouldn't want to call this a "toy". If you were to remove the logo, you can probably have grooves similar to the other side of the case to keep it symmetrical.
