The Realforce 87ub 55g must be one of the best keyboard I've typed on. I can't wait to give it some silencing love, when I get my punches and rubber of course.

I'm afraid I will have to find enough 55g rubber domes to make my hhkb variable (at least). This hobby is unrelenting.

epzy, yeah I'm considering making a variable weight board by buying another 55g RF and swapping the hhkb pro 2 cups with it. We'll see how much money I can milk out of my job :p.

atlasbro, thank you! It's a great keyboard and I can already feel that I belong with this kind of a board. MX doesn't feel that great anymore to be honest.
I do however feel that the RF has a little too much chatter for me, but I'll survive that ;).

When I say chatter, I don't actually mean chatter. My brain seems to have removed the correct word from my dictionary. What I mean is the sound that the caps make when running my hand over the keys.

In my jealousy, I imagine Vesper taking those photos with his boxer on! (from the other thread, you know what I am talking about).. ha ha ..

Serious note: do you guys really type on those clacks? Or press them daily?  I see you put on ESC and Tilde, two of my most used keys. I don't put my clacks there!

I won't lie... I took those photos like 15 mins ago... with only my boxers on LOL!

Regarding the CC's~ There are specific times when I put CC's in the ESC/tilde spot just for pictures, but other times (like the HHKB), I keep it there because I won't press it as much. I use the HHKB for mainly just web surfing so there isn't many time I press on that key. The Oktoberest though, I use as my backspace, and I press on that **** all the time but still no shine or signs of wear. I wash my hands before using the keyboards and I also don't make too many typos ;) The 55g, I use for gaming sometimes, so I keep the Night Owl on the Tilde key because ESC is used quite a bit... I admit that I cringe when I have to press on it when I play CSGO, and need to press the tilde.

I have my hardcore orange on esc, I don't really press it a lot though even when I game a lot.

Beautiful keyboard :)

A bit early for Christmas, though? :p
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Yeah I'm not planning on making any profit or anything on it, it's just that it's spoiled a bit because on a big monitor the watermark is quite large. Thanks!

Snigger you know what they say about people with a tiny space bar?

They have a big BroBot collection :p ;D
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
