Using your own product next to Clacks shows how high quality they are, looking forward to your further productions ,you have really stepped it up  ;)
Umm... I don't know if it's just me but I don't see one of her products in any of those pics???

The top row blank is mine :p
Ah my bad. I got it confused with a cap sold by a less than scrupulous figure because of the color.

Looks great though!

K3KC? Someone else confused it as well.

I would like to say that it got that way because of the filter I used.
I had to use a filter because the original image was kind of desaturated.

I'm thinking about dying the mods to be more of a dark purple color but I'm so wishy woshy about the color that I'm not sure if I should dye it only to want a different color a few weeks later.

Good lookin' board!

What you say is true though... You might dye it and be satisfied for a week or two but then you'll want something new. After a couple months, you're going to want to go back to stock look. It's always changing :( It's torture.

Yup~ So very true. I know the feels :(

Only problem with HHKB sets is that, once you dye them, there's no going back... you'll have to buy another set of HHKB blanks for $70+ to just go back to stock look :P

That's for sure, and I'm not anywhere near as in deep as some people! I'd say I've been into this hobby for maybe 5 months or so, I have a HHKB Pro 2, that I has two of bro's caps, and a CC on the way, a Poker II that has custom caps, a tex aluminum case, a tex acryllic case, a pexon cable, two realforce number pads, and just the other day I bought a ergodox. Lord help me.

Excellent!

Especially the silver CC on Esc - very matches the case.

All except space.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

You buy them for an insanely high price from classifieds.

How is that board? I've been thinking of buying a new board with all these sexy group buys going on right now but was looking for a full topre board (I realize I'll have to mod it to use any of the caps in the GB's) to use the full set. However with this being such a cheap board for a topre when most aren't even 100%'s I was curious if there were noticeable differences that would prevent me from being near as happy as I am with my HHKB

The type heaven was the gateway drug that got me into Topre boards. Had one for about a year and it was delightful to type on. Built as well as my RF (if not better) but the keycaps are kind of lackluster. Uniform 45g is where it's at though!

Good to hear, but gateway drug isn't necessarily what I'm looking for, I mean the first mech keyboard I owned was my HHKB, I've always had the mentality if it's not the best it's not worth buying. So would I be better off getting one of the Realforce 104U keyboards? I wanted to try something heavier than the HHKB but after trying clears (which some people have likened to topre while still being obviously different)  I really didn't like how heavy they were.

you have the keyboard you need. no need to dip your toes into anything else.

but IF you must, 55g 87u.
No, he’s not around. How that sound to ya? Jot it down.

A voice of reason on here!? What is this place becoming?

TBH I have more keyboards than I need, I use two computers, work and home, and I have a HHKB for home and a Poker II for work, I would prefer to use a topre board at work but my HHKB wont work on my work computer no mater how hard me and IT have tried. I also just bought a Ergodox so I'm not even sure where I'll end up using that at -__-... In all honesty the more I look around the forums here the more I think I want to get into custom building if I have another board simply because I think I'd really enjoy it, and I currently know next to nothing about it so it would be a challenge!

why did i think you were an mx guy? these topre posts from you lately have me swoon <3

I swing both ways :P

And I like the type heaven much better the second time. If your into full size boards and want to try topre they can often be found lightly used and sometimes brand new for cheap.

I don't even mind the stock caps.

Is it heaven to type on?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
