Something about that photo makes everything look metallic.. It looks great, at any rate.

Are those different than stock keycaps?

They are stock and fresh out of the packaging, I think the textured surface in combination with the LED light i was using might make them look a bit metallic. I will also say that my picture might make them appear slightly lighter than real life. One interesting thing about this particular board is the QWERTY row and the left shift do actually look a bit darker than the rest, barely noticeable though.

So. I'm going to be that poor person who breaks the endless streak of TKL and HHKB boards for the past umpteenth pages (minus SpAmRaY's RF :D).

Finally got the blue keyset from Widebasket!

So without further ado.....c-c-c-c-c-C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!

Now, if only I could track down someone willing to sell the green ANSI modifiers only.......  :'( !

The color combo on that thing is VERY VERY FRESH! I love it. The lack of Grey caps on that thing actually makes it look really good~

I really need some colored keys for my RF. I love just pure black/grey n'all, but some of these boards look amazing.

Coming from the RF color master. I'm blushing :O. Trying a layout against the norm colorwise. Not enough lime green and blue out there for Topre boards (let alone Cherry MX)

Only problem is that now it is impossible to find someone to part with the modifier + '\|' + '~'-key keys from their green ANSI RF set. Really don't want to spend $150 for just eight keys >.<.

HUE! Yeah, dood~ Trying out new layouts is the important thing :) I just mess around and look for a theme that I like, and sometimes I get lucky and find one that I'll stick with for a month or two.

I know how it feels to spend a lot on a colored keycap set and only use like 1-3 caps at a time... But it's worth it in the end, bro. You should invest in a printed green set, you'll find new things to do with it over time :D

I want a blank pink and printed red set so badly but there are just so few around, not to mention the prices.... Blank pinks went so cheap for a while, wish I had jumped. Lesson learned though.

That fullsize board with the blue caps looks great!

^ Very nice HHKB :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Looking good bro.
tytytyty. are you going to post pics soon??? because you should!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a pic from the day they arrived.

I just ordered some blank blacks from Rakuten, that I will mix it up with when they arrive. Hopefully I can get my hands on some Realforce sets, otherwise I may try the dye route.

Very nice, very clean :)

Thanks Rowdy! It actually took quite a bit of effort for me to get the lighting like this, mainly because I had to wake up at a decent hour :))

I'm also very happy with how they came out <3

Getting better and better every time ~

So good~

Thanks senpai  ^-^. Hopefully it'll get a bit better once I have a tripod and get something like this(but properly made and not DIY) so I can have a more even lighting than the flashlight of my iPhone  :))

luv u honey.

I like this variation a lot better
thanks! yeah, it's difficult to execute a nice layout when i have so many ideas but so few keycaps at my disposal.

Nice man! Makes me want to pick up a black blank set for my hhkb
join me! and then take pics so i can borrow all your ideas haha. although, that oktoberfest blank is the perfect accent to your hhkb. i'm really diggin your steez

Looking good bro.

Thanks dude! I really do like the way the oktoberfest works with a stock white hhkb, but I need some contrast like in your awesome board... or maybe more oktoberfests  :p

Wrong regardless.

Are checkered boards really that cringe worthy?  :-[

I was planning to give it a spin when I get black blanks since it didn't look half as bad in this pic:

I was just coming off as an *******, dont let my words deter you from enjoying something and being stoked on it. I just like to take hard stance's on topics and come off as dramatically opinionated. Such as my extreme distain for flipped spacebars and thinking the fc660c is superior to the HHKB in everyway

No worries man, didn't come off as an ******* to me, but maybe that's because I'm aussie and **** talking is the norm :))

Also agree'd on the flipped spacebar, think it looks horrible but your thoughts on the fc660c being better than the hhkb... :blank: hhkb layout just too stronk

I almost bought one to do exactly that.  :p
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

I'm going to need to keep an eye on this board, I didn't even know it existed. I'd kill for just the alphas  ^-^

And you should  consider throwing up a review of the board, it would be quite interesting, as we have seen rather few of these older topre boards.

Gonna need to acquire myself one of those boards...

Took some pictures of my new HHKB, came out pretty good if I do say so myself

Full HHkb shot. The Blackout sale caps go so well with the black blank HHKB

I've ordered some dental bands to silence this thing as well and I'm trying my hardest to resist buying a 55g Realforce to do a dome swap  :-\

The Pharaoh looks perfect on your board!

Glad you like it!
