Hey!
I'm a fairly new keycap designer and tried this as my 4th concept. It is inspired by the beautiful flowers of the Magnolia tree. Here's my base set concept.

Not a fan of this Pre-IC concept, as it possibly attracts newer designers to do the same or even become a usual thing later on (even though it's sort of already).

I hope you can finalize everything first.

that magnolias are not uwu trees, so if op wants to do a uwu tree set make it specific. This vibe rn is more like, oh how do we make those sakura uwu sets but a bit more purple, oh maybe magnolias

I am going to use the purple color to write my message   It is nicer than green in my mind

I am sure you know this  but it is not yet an IC. it is simply the beginnnings of the IC and so it will probably never go to the finished product becuase of the way  this Keyboard World works. 

It needs many things   ,it needs more than just kitting render and colors, it needs to plan vendors and it needs to get more renders of the keyboard    And then they need to decide if they actuallly want to sell it --> Create a IC form   Finally . Then it is an IC.  Interest check for keyboard

He most likely meant the Magnolia Liliiflora which is a purple/pinkish flower/plant from china. Dude got the wrong sublegends if this is litteraly the inspiriation for this set.

hello aspiring keycap designer. a couple of notes:

• GMK is borked right now. Vendors aren't likely to pick up GMK sets from new designers. Not saying don't try, but don't get your hopes up either. There is more room (but not much more) in the dyesub space.
• A pre-IC should include at least a board render. Your basekit render is better than some stuff that's made it to this site though.
• The colors are nice. Consider RALs over Pantone if you must run as GMK. I am confident there are similar RAL colors to what you have here.
• A pre-IC should include at least one nov so that people can see what type of direction you'd go here
• As others have stated, this subforum is more for finished products, but i personally dont have an issue with this type of post here. I'd rather see people acknowledge the current state of their project then try to IC a half-baked idea.

Just out of curiosity, where should a "sanity check" just to see how others feel about the color scheme and/or initial kitting go then?
