Lol at more KAT sets going into group buy! Keyreative can't even fulfill the comically backed up sets without constant QC issues. Seen you in discord, this is not an attack against you personally, more of an attack at the vendors that keep supporting a manufacturer that lacks communication, QC, and inability to produce in a timely fashion.

Thank you! I posted an update on reddit and insta today and a few more updates have come out from vendors, we are currently at 85% of the way to MOQ! I already sent Dvorcol the numbers so hold tight on seeing those but I'm super excited! I have high hopes that we can get this set to MOQ before the end of the GB!

Bonjour.  If you have a standard 105-key AZERTY layout, then you will need to buy:

• KAT Crusader Alphas Kit
• KAT Crusader Modifiers Kit
• KAT Crusader French Kit

Yes, this will work.  You can set your operating system so that your Keychron keyboard (ISO DE) will operate as an ISO FR keyboard. 

Then whenever your new KAT Crusader FR keycaps arrive, you can replace the DE keycaps.  You should buy a keycap puller before the keycaps arrive.  I like this kind of keycap puller:

Without buying the modifiers, your French layout will be missing a tab key, a backspace key, a caps-lock key, two control keys, a right shift key, two alt keys, a super key, a meta key, and a function key.

Thank you everyone who has been helping those who are asking about kits! I wish there was an easy way for new users to figure out what kits they need since there are so many for KAT sets. Thanks! The next step is for Keyreative to invoice all of the vendors who sold the set, after that we will be put into their production queue. I pray this set delivers around Q4 2021, but there is a chance of it running into Q1 2022 depending on how quick Keyreative starts producing all the others sets in the current queue.

Apologies for not posting an update in a while! Invoices have been paid, color samples have arrived! So far the colors look really nice, I spoke to Keyreative a few days ago about getting some more ordered for Upas and Nebulant so we can get the color science and make sure the colors are close to the Pantones I chose for the set. Will keep everyone updated on that once those arrive! I also asked for a White sample as they seem to have forgotten to ship me one the first time around. Also, the A key does not correspond to any of the keys of the set, not too sure why Keyreative sent me that, the F2 key is the accent color for the dark mods, the F12 key is the base mod color, the 2 key is the dark mod/dark alphas color.

It's been awhile since I've updated this so I thought I'd relay the update/information.

Still working on getting more of the R1 samples, I've sent multiple messages and have yet to receive a reply, my best guess on when they will get back to me is when Crusader is coming up in the queue for production. What I mean by that is that we don't have an actual good ETA on when the set will ship, it all depends on when each KAT set finishes and ships, slowly they will start working with each designer on the sets that they have in the queue. So as for Crusader, and any other KAT set I honestly don't know if the ETAs are going to be correct until Keyreative starts working with us. KAT Space Cadet is just now shipping, and that set ran March 2020, it's taken 19 months to ship. Going by that logic KAT Crusader will ship around September 2022. I don't work for keyreative so everything I am saying here is speculative, I have nothing to confirm what I am saying is correct, just a theory on when Crusader might ship. I pray it'll be sooner than that though.  If I hear back from them and get more samples I'll definitely update everyone, even this GH thread. Thank you everyone who has stayed on board and is waiting, y'all are the real ones.

Update 12/5/2021: I have yet to hear back from anyone over at zF for more samples. I am going to contact Upas and just send the sample that I have to him. After talking with him at The Keyboard Meetup is sounds like zF mailed the samples directly to me without sending any to him. I would rather send the samples to Upas then have him send those to Neb so we can get the color values and move forward with possibly getting Round 2 samples if need be or confirm the colors so that will be taken care of.

Soft update for those waiting, just got a message from Upas that a new round of double shot samples have arrived, these are the first double shot samples. I'll post pictures in a more formal update with a ping once the caps arrive to me.

A little info on the change: I received a PM from Upas about 2 months ago letting me know that Keyreative wanted to move forward with KAT Crusader in Double Shot vs the intended Dyesub. Originally when they were working on getting everything going for their dye sub stuff I asked my zF contact if we could switch as I thought it would be better for the colors. He told me no at the time, so something must have changed between the 2ish years we've been waiting for this set.
