What switches do you guys use polycarb with?

I am a huge fan of the ergo-clears on the plastic plate that I built my Orion V2 with, but at the end of the day it's all personal preference. Build it how you want it.

Did you test the PCB before you soldered?

I'm guessing some of those barrel resistors arent right... they were pretty tricky to solder.

But its quite good i still try adapt to it.

Ok, here is another step by step manual:

- Download L3_170419.zip (http://kbdlab.co.kr/?module=file&act=procFileDownload&file_srl=4320094&sid=ebbdca3c12b3174f582b4c8dc470ecce)
- Download JigOn_170419.zip (http://kbdlab.co.kr/?module=file&act=procFileDownload&file_srl=4320093&sid=a2dfd681007fec4c849850a5530a4df9)
- Unzip both files go
- Open loadfw.bat in L3_170419
- It will then flash the Leeku L3 keyboard with that version of the firmware.
- If you get a “communications error” when flashing, try a different USB cable and/or port. For me, it turned out using a different port worked, even though the keyboard could *type stuff* using the first port, it couldn’t flash the board.
- Open JigOn.exe in JigOn_170419 Folder
- Download and follow the guide Leeku L3 Software.pdf from https://www.dropbox.com/sh/v24vygvyl4mvqrm/AABUNcm0BDioYE5QbArje0Kba?dl=1

Hope this helps.

Thanks! Yes it was local, ran $110 in cash (was less if I wanted one color). With cerakote you necessarily don't have to strip the original anodizating and an even result is easier to achieve than anodizing.

I might be interested in pc plate, its too expensive to cut for myself alone.

Got my CLS and the custom brass and pc plates today. The brass plate needed some polishing but turned out nice. Paid 194€ including 19% VAT for both plates but wanted them to be produced locally.

Great build log DreLLin - thanks for posting! What is the reason for this step - "Clipping the legs of the switches for the Alphas. Keeping the legs on Mods and ISO keys with larger plate cutouts"

Also wondering why you used GPL105, GPL106 and the VW lube (GPL105)? Why the spray lube in addition to the drops?

The legs of the Zeal switches are a little bigger than the cherry ones. It's really hard to push them into the pcb and almost impossible to have them seated flush with the plate and pcb without clipping the legs.
Since the alphas have great support from the plate and alignment is no concern you can clip the legs of the switches without sacrificing anything.

On the mods and ISO keys you have larger plate cutouts and it's harder to align the switches correctly. That's why I dont't clip the legs on these keys and am not so concerned if they aren't 1000% flush with the pcb.

I used the bag before I had the spray for other switches so there was some GPL 105 left in it. From now on I'll only use 106 and the spray since it makes it a bit easier to spread out the lube in the bag and a bit less shaking is required.

Are the plate files for the CLS available? Would love to get a brass and/or pc or carbon plate.

I might be interested in pc plate, its too expensive to cut for myself alone.

Got my CLS and the custom brass and pc plates today. The brass plate needed some polishing but turned out nice. Paid 194€ including 19% VAT for both plates but wanted them to be produced locally.

If interested, you can watch the complete build log at Imgur. https://imgur.com/a/zDHXR

Really nice build log and great result. Thanks for taking the time to do it, I took a few tips to use on my next build.

Hmmmmmmm, I tried to desolder the USB connector and one of the metal pad that, to me, should stays on the PCB came right off is that normal   .
I'm freaking out right now, not sure if I just broke the PCB or not.

Can USB connector wired to this pad?

Currently i have GON Nerd PCB, but the connector was beneath of the PCB (instead of on top), it must be on top in order to compatible with CLS. Actually there's a pad on top, but the extras part of PCB was cut from vendor (along with the top pad). I just knew this when it arrived. Help....  :'(

Really sorry for potato pic

My connector failed out so I had to desolder everything and solder the connect to PCB. But, it doesn't work. Anyone know how to fix this issue?

A bit late because I have to wait for the Time's pcb. My latest abomination with SKCM Blues, hebrew keyset, and a circumcised penis for escape key.
