I'm really, really sorry.

You sure that netbook is enough for you? You've got some pretty good Photoshop chops for a guy working in radiology.

Anybody know why IBM never made their Model M plugs purple?

By the time the purple/green PS/2 plug standard went into effect (late '90s?) IBM/Lexmark/Unicomp probably still had tons of beige Model M cables in inventory.

Purple connectors are next on the enhancement list.

Unicomp had a Board meeting to decide if they should update the connector color.  But everybody got distracted by the Beer & BBQ and the topic never came up.

My PS/2 Endurapro had purple and green plugs.

Actually the current Unicomp PS/2 models do have purple connectors. Must be at least one teetotaler on staff.

I don't think purple/green was a standard until PC97 which IIRC came out in 1998.  My KB8923 PS/2 connectors are grey/green, but my newer spacesaver 2 are purple/green.

IBM-branded Model Ms were almost out of production by that late stage anyway.
