This is how the prototype looks like.. we cant make the sides looks as sharp like the 3d render.. what do you guys think? Should I keep it like that or remove the side design?

this detail seems to be the weak point of design, it could improve imho. however, the look is really nice.

Is it just me or the top plate doesn't seem to be flush with the bottom plate? Or is this a known problem that is only in the prototype?

Any chance we could see a silver (anodized) or maybe even a white (powder coat/cerakote) version?

Ah cool. That is totally fine then.

Additionally, maybe for the side design, the top-part of the case can have a curve above the side design part, so that it looks seamless and not like a ‘roof’. I’m not sure if I’m describing this clearly.

This case is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING: DZ60 support, looks, anodizing( I hope), true hhkb, integrated plate ... everything is so good, and it will be about 200$  for the kit!

I would like to see purple ( Tokyo cyberpunk pink*)coating too, but if it won’t happen I will go with the purple color.

I regard this case as an ultimate competitor to Tina. The latter, I suppose is so overpriced. Basically they are sold for 110$ on mechmarket. Damn it. KBDFans have some serious issues with anodizing. I hope your GB will get a perfect finish, don’t save any money on it, as anodizing is what makes ANY case unique.

couldn’t agree more, just a little curve on the bottom of the top case would make a perfect look...
ohhh...and two tone would look sooo cool.

Is it possible to continue the design to affect the top?

The way it looks now kind of kills the look, IMO.

I don’t see anything bad in the design. I have to admit it looks “simple”, not “aggressive” as it was supposed to be.

Haha it’ll definitely depend. Getting a new board means no artisans for a while :(. And getting switches + keycaps makes it pretty pricey.

Tokyo cyber pink like GMK Laser pink? Yeaa.. I like that color too.. I'll se what i can do. But to make sure im pictureing the same color like you said.. can you give me picture of the color?

Btw. I heard KBDfans is partnering up with a new manufactureing company.. maybe now they have better results.

So the color I suggest :

Hex: #cc3b7c
RGB: (204, 59, 124)

 OR

HEX: #a1355c
RGB: (161, 53, 92)

Anyway you could describe the difference? I've only ever had tray mount and the fact that this is top mount was great to hear.

Nice pricing, but you should remove the renders of the true-happy layout that is not covered by the design.

If I just were not waiting for an upcoming sub-sixty model to try out...

Good job.

You can always use a different, rgb-compatible pcb

I think the original design had acrylic sections for underglow like on Duck keyboards, but it was removed to keep cost down.

Also, to clarify, is the prototype you showed in black or in gray?

No, take your time, time gives you chance to perfect the shape and quality.

Additionally, it gives us to save some money for it as well. There are gonna be few big drops coming in next few weeks.

Do you think i should run round 1 with this current design? :D

I have no problem waiting until you reach a design you are fully confident in.

Would also appreciate time to save up, as there have been alot of amazing gb's already this year.

Good things are worth the wait.

As the others have said, I would say no to running the GB now. Perfect your case to what you envisioned it to be, as "R2" is only plausible when you have a successful "R1".

Delay is never good, but delays are easily forgotten with a good product.

Honestly it's probably worth the wait to get things right, though I'm pretty sure I'd join in on R1 if you did it at the current price.
