How about this - Unless you specifically like SP or OEM profile best, just order cherry profile. It is the safest bet and is considered the best by the majority here.

Don't make me start posting "cherry" memes, I'll do it! (But the best ones would get me in trouble with the neue GH...)

I wonder what a whole keyboard case made of shiny polished titanium would cost... But there's no way that a cherry 3000 case would be made... It would probably be something tenkeyless seeing as that's what's IN right now...

I'm really looking forward to my spacebar though. Those things have been taunting me for a year. They just never had the proper stems for my 3494 so I couldn't justify them. I have a feeling that once pictures of these custom titanium spacebars start flooding the forums there will be a huge demand for another round.

Best part about titanium: It matches any conceivable case and keycap set you may want to use. That and the corrosion resistance. And the strength-to-weight ratio. It's pretty much concentrated awesome.

Since no many people using Cherry G80-3000 series, it's kinda hard to image that there will be metal case for 3000 in the market.

On a side note - Could you ask him to take some pictures of his setup? It would be cool to see the molds and such.

The fitst batch will be done in the middle of next month.

Since he works for some kind of pattern company, apparently it's his benefit to have this job. Otherwise I'm not so sure if he can get those CNC and stuffs worked for his keycaps.

IT would depend on the quality of the molds used. If you get some really well designed ones, that account for proper shrinkage (and were designed using finite element analysis, fluid dynamics, etc.) you can in theory have moulds that are the same as CNC.

Unfortunately, they'd be hideously expensive. A much better option is to mould the basic shape (relatively cheaply), then finish it up on a machine (CNC, etc.)

Hi could anyone tell me if the 6 stem version of the 6.25 spacebar provides the highest compatibility with modern keyboards? Would the extra 3 stems cause fitting issues on certain boards?

There are no fitting issues except with some leopold models if I remember correctly. Those models use a different spacing for the stabilizer that interferes.

The 6-stem version is the most compatible you're going to get.  These will virtually fit all modern keyboards with the exception of the Leopold FC500R (full-size boards) and Leopold FC700R (new Leopold TKL design).

These 6-stem versions WILL fit the Leopold FC200Rs (previous TKL version).  They will also fit Filco, Das, CM Storm, PLU, Ducky, and any other major production keyboards.

Cherry? Only the center stem is moved over for Cherry. (necessitating the 6-stem version)
