imo should do the keys individually .. dont see much advantage to a set

... also in general i think they(youpeople) should do semi-annual group buys for multiple types/sets of keys instead of constantly doing 1 at a time >.>.....rant end

Advantage is the price...much cheaper per key in a set

except that the dyesub process gets noticeably cheaper with more keys, having a group buy for single keys would suck on shipping, and it would be a HUGE pain in the ass for GB organizers. Imagine doing 1 group buy for 5 keys and shipping them all together, recieving payment and updating, ect. or doing 5 individual with basically 5X the work. If you want individual keys, check out hashbaz's group buy for the portal keys. Only two in that set so much less volume, and only $5+ per key!

You get right on that. That is hard since most people don't have huge sums of money stockpiled for keys and are living paycheck to paycheck.  Don't participate in them if you don't like how they are run :)

also, the semi annual plan messes up with EU's custodies.

Every shippment under 150€ is barely touched when entering EU.

It means you can have a black key with a white companion cube with the pink heart. I think it would look pretty unique but yes, silly expensive.

Just like this

(Attachment Link) 49279[/ATTACH]

I would quite literally give you my left foot for one of these. I'd be interested in a set, whatever they were, and very interested in this single key/if the set included it.

Would the set be available in Black and white? I'd probably get both, but would be good to know. Either way, put me down for 2 sets.

if that key doesn't get made in this GB, you could always get imsto to dyesub it for you.

no black, can't dyesub on black PBT and it certainly isn't possible to doubleshot that cap.

Its possible you could doubleshot that key and get it to look okay, but it wouldn't be 3 colors... which is the entire point. That key is impossible unless we find a company willing do do a tripleshot for it, and we don't know anywhere that does it.

That key is going to be the same as last time, black on white with a pink heart. Trust me it looks great, its one of the best keys I have made.

... And WTFGoD that isn't how it works- in response to both of your complaints.

hey rag, I might be interested in this groupbuy if boilermakers few groupbuys fall through. Regardless, I would appreciate it if you could make sure that this set fits my 104key leopold, changed the color to my favorite color (#0FC21A), offered a keycap that you currently don't seem to be offering in this kit, drop a keycap that I don't particularly like, made sure that everything will fit my irregular numpad attachment, and make sure that the sprue marks are minimal, maybe you could have them give you the caps with sprue marks on and then you could file them off until they look perfect. I would also appreciate if on every group buy from now on for full keycap sets, you could include an esperanto and klingon language kit as well as making sure that ~\ are the "correct" colors. ISO layout should be default too because it would work with my keyboard better. Thaaaaaaaaaaaanks.

:p some people

edit: almost forgot my request that you gift wrap all of my keycap sets and personally deliver them to me in Bellingham free of charge.

Not so sound stupid or anything, but can you bake/burn the plastic enough in an oven at 120F for like 10 minutes to make them black, then dyesub? Either way I still think it is doable, unless you have bad equipment. (yes, ignoring inhuman perceivable contrast).

Yes me wants portal man single keycaps, pbt fine. Companion cube, aperture science, gun marker, & PotatOS. I think I will need to make the pinkie pie portal-man. give me a few.

PS
Yes, I is a noob as you can tell.
opinion: black > white. white hurts my weary eyes. Blacks helps me concentrate on my work.

EDIT: made mistakes, learn you guys are talking about dyesubing. Thanks Djuzuh, this one knows this, still it blinds me more. But about the oven thing, depends on the plastic. (of course pure black is not in my keycaps).

dyesub on anything else than white has poor results. And the darker the color, the poorer it will look.

Also, if you want a black key, you can buy some. You don't need to burn the plastic. Also, it probably don't work to put it in the oven.

You could let SP do the logo on black (dye sub the whole surface black) and paint the sides yourself. :-)

I am tired, I will be busy for my weekend, so if you like to work on the pony portal keycap here are the files:
http://sirplzmysite.net/works/img/

Credits and permissions requestes need to be done.
keycap.svg is the inkscape template for keycaps (v2.0 for users, awesome work, close to scale for cherry mx pbts)
portalpony_work.xcf is my paste work I have not finished. pm me if your like too upload your work in the server.
PortalwGuy2O.png is the idea with portal.png, my-little-portal.png, or portal_my_little_pony_pinkie_pie_desktop_1920x1200_wallpaper-1084639.png. Really any of these you can use for inspiration, like images.jpeg in a white silhouette, and already in between portals.

PS
And please do not spam. I got limited bandwidth. So save once, and have fun :)

I'm making the Order Thread right now. The only thing off is the prices, because I got a quote for a 15 key set from Melissa and not a 16 key one like it is. I'm throwing it up anyways because I don't want to have to reformat everything after copying it to a word doc overnight... and delay it another day. I'm going to estimate the cost of the 16th key, so it shouldn't matter and I shouldn't need to adjust prices. If I do it will be very insignificant.

Wah?!?
Please wait, we need to make gun marker, PotatOS, and for fans, my little portal. Have not had time to make these yet, but anyone else can commit these.

EDIT:
You made sleep ovenight:

pinkie_head_portals.svg
pinkie_portals.png
pinkie_portals.svg

Updates keycap.svg and portalpony_work.xcf on http://sirplzmysite.net/works/img/

Next is the gun scope and potatOS. Please someone work on these as well. I feel tired. And my work days just begun. All I use is gimp, firefox, inkscape, scp, and after hours of no sleep. And these are hacks

Yo bebuxe, those my little pony keys aren't really what I'm going for in this set or the next, it seems like something more for Hazeluff/keyboardstory.

Also, PotatOS is in my current set, if you didn't notice.

I would love to join in a round 3. I got keyboard addicted too late to get a Portal modifier set=(

Will there any groupbuy be in the future?

By the way, is the portal modifier set (blue/red on black) doubleshot or dyesub or laser etched and withcompany did prodice it?

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
