A bouncy and energetic typing experience combined with a crisp, sound (without needing foam) is one of my favorite things about this board.

Aluminum Shell
Providing noticeable weight and premium feeling. Finished with a beautiful electrophoresis coating of white, navy, or black. (price is not raised from what it would be with anodization)



Multi-Layout Hotswap PCB + RGB Underglow
The PCB with the Coarse60 supports all alice positions with hotswap except split backspace (solder support), as well as full backspace, full right shift, both left spacebar positions, and stepped and normal caps lock with no interference (tested by Andy V Nguyen). It also has a row of downwards-facing RGB LEDs that will illuminate the frosted acrylic bottom.


Note: the final production PCB has top USB port.

Note About Plates
If you want flex, go for aluminum. That is the only option with leaf-springs. POM is too flexible inherently, and not only can it not support leaf-springs, but requires extra mounting points. POM would be more desired for its sound. Neither plates are hollow sounding in our tested configurations (JWK linears or tactiles).

Concerns?
There was a concern that Andy V Nguyen brought up about bottoming out when typing roughly. We brought the keyboard's height up by an mm, shortened the leafsprings slightly, and are adding a foam sticker to the bottom of the PCB to address this concern. We'll keep you updated!

Keyboard looks great! Point of clarification- does the PCB support split backspace? It looks like it did, but your description says "except". Probably a typo, but wanted to double-check.

Hey! Sorry that was badly worded. It supports split backspace, but only with solder.

Will plate files be posted in the future? I am interested because US vendor offers case only for 120 usd, which is a great deal for building an Alps alice-style board (I don't need to waste 70$ on MX PCB and 25$ on MX plate).
