Replacement case for a G80-3000? I don't understand. You're not actually going to type on MY switches, are you??

I may...just to piss everyone on here off :D

I just wanted to feel them, they are horrid. I'm planning on harvesting them and stealing someone's idea of turning them into magnets. Make my fridge all cool.

Oh and the case is damn nice. The colour is mmmm mmmm! And who doesn't want a peacock on their board?! I will be on the look out for replacement internals for it though.

Actually no. Someone used a bunch of MY switches and added magnets to test out different layouts. I just forget who and where the little guide was.

Ohh. We should still find a way to make an MX shaped magnetic insert so we can display novelties on our fridges!

yeah that would be cool. I have seen neodium magnets in a bunch of various shapes, so in theory if we could find a manufacturer we could have like a small block with a cruiform on it to mount a keycap made.

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

A couple of pics of the Phantom Keychain from Half-Saint at DT. The box is as nice as the keychain.

13224-0

13226-1

These came with the KMAC2 (pictured below)

13228-2

This keyboard roof also came with the KMAC2. I also picked one up for a poker or 356 Mini sized case, just in-case.

13230-3

Enjoy,

Well.......... Apparently my lousy OEM PC doesnt have a PS/2 port :(

DAMMIT. Its time to buy that $30 SDL-USB cable I saw on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-to-SDL-6-Pin-6ft-IBM-Lexmark-Unicomp-Model-M-Clicky-Keyboard-Cable-NEW-/270955553909

My more specific problem is that it only registers keypresses occasionally, and sometimes 1 press will be duplicated for like 10 characters........
