/headscratch...i find them to be mice just more optomized for gaming, i'm trying to speak more for mice that have a good sensor but were not advertised as a gaming mouse. only one i know of is the microsoft intellimouse.
that's a silly question..
Since a gaming mouse loosely defined is -a- mouse that is at least as good if not better than a regular mouse..
There are no restrictions..
Just turn off the LED(s) and *poof*, it is no longer a gaming mouse.Or better yet, buy one that doesn't have LEDs to begin with.

G700 is, ahem, a gaming mouse.True, but still a great office mouse with very few leds. And wired or wireless. The best actual office mouse I had was the MX Revolution but alas not enough res for multi monitors.
currently using a zowie fk1 for my gaming mouse, it has no LEDs or software but it has a logoJust turn off the LED(s) and *poof*, it is no longer a gaming mouse.Or better yet, buy one that doesn't have LEDs to begin with.
a logo? i don't think i've ever seen a mouse without a logo or at least a brand's nameits a big white one on the palm area, i could understand maybe a smaller one on the lower palm area
I know this may sound like a dig up but the mx master should do nicley.Show Image(https://assets.logitech.com/assets/64807/2/mx-master-black-gallery-1.png)
I think it has that.I know this may sound like a dig up but the mx master should do nicley.Show Image(https://assets.logitech.com/assets/64807/2/mx-master-black-gallery-1.png)
Horizontal scrolling would be pretty neat

mx master doesn't have a gaming-grade sensorI thought it did.
mx master doesn't have a gaming-grade sensorbetter than average tho.
I have the MX Master, it's an absolutely fantastic mouse for work related stuff. Great wireless, supports Logitech Unifying receivers as well as BT, and can be synced to 3 different devices (there's a switch on the bottom).
Sensor is absolutely fine for pretty much everything except for pro level super precise twitch FPS gaming. However, if you want the best wireless mouse: get the G602. It's rock solid, feels like there's less lag, and HOLY CRAP THE BATTERY LIFE (I've replaced the battery twice in the 2 years I've had it).
On a different note, newer Contour Design RollerMouse models (Free2, Red, Free3) use Philips Twin Eye.
you can always use a "gaming" mouse for normal uses, no?
"gaming" is just a name, in truth they are "high quality mouses", yes? :p
So you just want to avoid the "gaming" spaceship type designs i take it? I am a big fan of simple and hands down the Zowie EC1A is just a really well made mouse. Expensive for being so basic but solid.i have a zowie fk1 newer version (the white logo and scroll) its pretty good
I can't stand any flashy "gamer" looking stuff for the most part... I previously used a Sensei MLG just turned the stupid lights off.
recently got a Zowie ZA11 it just looks like a mouse the logo is pretty understated.. I like it.. I'd rock one at work no problem..

There are many. Better sensors mouse are use by graphic designers that require precision and accuracy.
For example Logitech performance mouse
It is an all-purpose mouse and used by graphic designers and video editors in my office.
Another is Eco-comfort mobile mouse by HP.
