so...

Tell me we're not waiting for Cherry to do a bunch of R&D to re-engineer their stabilizer design...

...and then design new machines/tooling to accomplish it...
...and then find someone to build the new machines, for a reasonable price...
...and then haggle and negotiate for max profits...
...and then finally make a whole bunch of them for higher-bidders, first...
...and then restock, after a materials shortage...
...and then finally fulfill this order, 10 years from now.

Because i need something new/smaller/better to type on.

I think it's a bit funny, but in the timespan this group buy has been running I've discovered geekhack, gotten myself two mechanical keyboards, three keycap sets, and I've now almost finished building a custom 60% (hand-wired) :p

I'm still interested in the PCB tho', just waiting for the classifieds.

Not to beat a dead horse any more than we already have, but are we seriously going to wait for space bar wires to be redone? I used a bent paperclip in one of my pokers instead of a proper stab wire, been using it for over a year (longer than this GB in fact!) and it's still working fine. Not even sure which of my 2 Pokers it is in.

Don't get me wrong, if the answer is still no, I'll live with it. I do get the constraints RL puts on GB organizers and appreciate the time and work they put in, so if no is the answer I'll shut up.

I have not followed this before, but if I understood well the GB is almost 2 years now? No offense intended to anyone, just asking. Because we have been very caustic at other GB's leaders for a kit like this that has one month delay and has been shipped already, LOL.

That is correct.

The GB was started by WhiteFireDragon before the prototype of the board was completed, so it started a little early. Then WFD bailed on the GB and it's been in a bit of a tailspin since then. Various members of the community have stepped in to try and get it completed, or at least some of the work done, but it's going to be an epic task to get everything delivered and completed.

I paid for assembly for 2 GH60s and would happily skip that step.
I also do not want a refund for said assembly.

Is that possible?

There are many factors preventing this project to get into completion then. Nobody's fault.

Can I get confirmation on an address change? Also, the address changed from an international address to a CON-US one. I don't mind not getting a refund on the price difference if it complicates things but can I make sure that the order gets to the right distributor?

I'd love to take over someones buy if there is someone that has lost interest. Only need the PCB (bare, pesoldered or with component kit doesn't matter), but could possibly take over a larger order depending on the order selections. :) (shipping international)

Curious if anyone what became of switches. I ordered white ones (they don't show up on the order form....) and I remember something happening with the orders going over to DA but I never have got those either. Have my invoice from 2 years ago though.... Trying to off my order as well* but the switches are the bulk of it. Don't really want to split it.

PCB                   $28
1.5plate (pure shift) $16
cherry stabs           $9
1 locking white switch --
70 white switches     $50
-------------------------
                      $103

*People have PMd me in the past but going through my inbox it looks like they're all inactive now.

EDIT - Invoice says:Order will be shipped to the GH60 distributor.

I asked about this a year ago or so, and IIRC the response was that they were already with the distributor.  At the time, I believe that was JD (correct me if I'm wrong).  They are either still with that person or, more likely, have been passed to TJ.

Just checked my order on the order sheet - all looks good, although I didn't mention that the switches would be coming from 7Bit.

tjcaustin - I presume you got the 7bit supplied switches ok? Let me know of any problem or if you need more info.

I was going to wait until the GB was shipped and hit the classifieds, but I thought I'd just ask here as well.

If anyone wants to sell a single PCB from an order once it's shipped, or has an order of just that (not interested in plate, switches etc) that they'd want to transfer, PM me.

Stabs wire 6.25 ETA 2 weeks.
RIP
Its been just over two weeks. Ivan has to get them to TJ before he can start the process.

I have not gotten my new stab wires, so I would not expect TJ to have.
