I asked this before but it quickly got lost a few pages back - any (rough) idea as to production time for these once payments are done with?

Your answer is also in the thread, even before you had asked the question, but it was also lost pages back. :)

No clue. We are hoping for late-August/early-September, but that may be too optimistic.

THE SWITCH SUPPLIER JUST INFORMED ME THAT THE ONLY GREY SWITCHES HE HAS ARE ACTUALLY LINEAR (DARK GREY).

THESE WILL NOT WORK FOR "ERGO-CLEAR" MOD.

SORRY FOR ANY CONFUSION, AS I WAS JUST INFORMED OF THIS JUST NOW. IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL SWITCHES, PLEASE SUBMIT AN ORDER CHANGE REQUEST.

You can still order MX Clear or MX Grey (tactile) from 7bit on Deskthority, or we will place the order with 7bit if you order them through this GB.

Okay, I think I'll need to update my order then. Though I do have one question, since I see a lot of orders with Clears and Greys on the confirmation list:
Does this mean that the Clears and Greys are available, but since you'd be going through 7bit, the switches may be more expensive and/or delay your order?

Thanks in advance!

hmmm.... i am starting to second guess my switch choices.

i am getting 2 gh60s.

1 red
1 green

but i dont know if i still want to make a green board. i like the idea of making a panda clear or ergo clear board but i have never messed with opening up switches. but what better a time to start!

so if i want to make ergo clears i need clear switches and blues springs? how do you guys get the springs?

i feel sorry for JD and WFD who are rushing to modify everyone's order. this is a massive undertaking guys. we need to figure out how to show our gratitude for the guys who helped organize this (komar, JD, WFD etc.) i dont know how.. perhaps a spock themed geekhack keycap later this year? lol.

You could just change the stems of the red board to make an ergo-clear board.

Vintage blacks is a myth, sir. :P

In answer to your question, yes. :)

The dark grey stems are the same as reds and blacks, cast from the same molds.

Okay that's good news haha.
I think the material or weight of reds and blacks are different. I just don't have a scale or anything to test this.

Does the Ansai Universal plate work for the GH60 (max keys) . Does it also work for any 1.5x mod like the HHKB?
Could the "true" HHKB plate split-backspace double as a full backspace mod?

As I'm updating and modifying orders, I realized some people still don't fully understand plates and stabilizers. Just to say it again, Universal plates can't use Costar or plate-mounted cherry stabilizers, only PCB-mounted cherry is compatible.

That's probably directed at me, as I placed a last-minute order to add another PCB (soldered, please!), and a universal plate for the 10x space-bar fitment.  I also added stabilizers, that appears to be in error.  Do you need me to submit another order change, or can you just remove that from the order?

Still a novice when it comes to mechanical boards, especially the innards!

You can order from 7bit, but this GB also provides switches again.

Geekhack op price for switch is $0.60 but on 7bit it is $0.71. Would ordering on geekhack be cheaper? Price is not guaranteed but possibly?

Finally was able to "somewhat" get my plates figured out. I couldn't do universal because I plan to go Costar all the way. So, let's just say, I might have extra plates in the near future :)

Thanks again everyone for organizing this!

I was the same way, couldn't decide what layout(s) I wanted. But I need Costars, so I scrapped the universal and settled on 1.25 pure, for now. What plates are you going for?
