You guys are killing me and jdcarpe with the never ending order changes.

I may be able to get the electronics components cheaper, so out the door price for the DIY kit could be around ~$15, maybe more, maybe less. I hate saying this, but if this could affect your decision, fill out a request for order change.

Either way I don't think any of us can thank you two enough for all the hard work.

OMG I don't want to be "that" person, but can I add a GH60 plate? I'll add it to my order now, but will not be upset if it's too late :)

I just made my last order update adding a universal ANSI, no more changes I promise. You should enforce the order cutoff so you don't keep getting swamped, after my order is updated, of course  ;) I was wondering if I missed something for the assembly option? For people who ordered assembly service and more than one plate, how/where do they specify what switch layout they want? For instance I have a pure 1.25 plate and a universal, but I'm going for a poker layout on the universal ANSI. Will this be sorted when we move to the assembly stage? This really requires an amazing amount of planning and work, thank you for making something of this scale possible.

edit: Found the answer to my assembly question. Switch layout is specified at the assembly stage.

So universal plate will work for any layout or any 1.25 layout? Is universal also a max switch placement plate?

In addition, there will be 2 more “universal” plates available. These plates’ main feature is the support for any possible hybrid layout from above. You’ll also be able to completely change layout using the same plate, by desoldering only a few switches and shifting them over (or adding/subtracting switches) rather than desoldering all switches and installing a new plate

does anyone read anymore?

Any layout at all - if you look at the other plates you can see that the holes all fit within the universal's

I didn't specify a spacebar wire size with my request for a Costar set. Do I need to? I'm getting the Samwisekoi plate if that matters.

Sorry for being dumb. I just wasn't clear to me.

Not at all! It took me ages to figure out what I wanted (which is the only reason I know...) and even then I went for the universal plate because I'm still not fully decided!

Edit:

If you've ordered the Sawwisekoi plate then I assume they'll put you down for a 6.25 spacebar wire (as that's what you'll need)

Edit 2:
I'm tempted by a Samwisekoi (ish) layout with the short right shift on the right and a 1x key to the left of it but 1.25x mods across the whole bottom (maybe!)...

Yeah, I ordered the switches for my GH 60 like 2 weeks ago. I got the invoice the same day. If I am not mistaken you'll have to pay within 7 days via paypal.

lol, I was also curious. I just copied the column values and added a "+" at the end of every line. The total I arrived at was 491. Wasn't as curious about the PCB kits, but that would definitely push it well over 500 I'm imagining.

If you copy and paste into excel it unhides row 2

Edit: And as a result you can see that

PCB Assembled: 491
DIY Kit: 39
Bare PCB: 179
Total: 709
Although that 179 must include some from somewhere else as there aren't that many orders in that column...

Edit 2: Maybe there are actually...

I'm guessing though I did not specify I need a 7x wire for the Ansi 1.5x that it is assumed?

Also I know when the payment deadline is, but do we have an idea of when invoices will be sent out? I am assuming after all orders have been sorted and organized quotes will be need where these will be manufactured and then invoices?

I guess with the lack of Costar x7 spacebar wires ill have to use Cherries instead.

Just to confirm my order is correct:

2x Assembled PCB
1x 1.25 ISO plate
1x 1.5x short right shift ISO plate
2x Cherry stab set (7x wire and 6.25x wire)

1.5x mod layouts have one less mod key to the right of the keyboard, which is why you need a 7x spacebar to fill the bigger gap.

Just for clarification, if you're planning on a 1.5x layout of any kind, Costar stabilizers will not be in your future. The only spacebar wire available for Costar is 6.25. There will be no 7x spacebar wire for Costar.

This should go without saying, but if you're using a plate, you can use any of the three types of stabilizers. If you're not using a plate, or using an acrylic plate or Universal plate, you need Cherry PCB mount stabilizers.

It seems the stabilizers have caused the most confusion.

I haven't made any updates from the order changes spreadsheet since yesterday evening. I've been battling a cold. I'll work on them today. Not sure what WFD has done, as I haven't checked yet.

Just so you know, the $25 assembly fee doesn't include opening every switch to replace springs. That will definitely be extra.

After WFD's informative post about the universal plates requiring cherry pcb stabilizers I had submitted a request to have my 3 changed to meet this requirement. now they show as cherry plate stabilizers?

Fixed that for you.

My order looks good except it doesn't show "Universal 10x spacebar (special order)" and I guess no one will be custom bending 7x costar wires so that could be removed and then everything will be about square :p

Done. Universal 10x isn't in the plate section, so it's in your comments.

I haven't made any updates from the order changes spreadsheet since yesterday evening. I've been battling a cold. I'll work on them today. Not sure what WFD has done, as I haven't checked yet.

Uh oh! I hope you're feeling better soon.

I sent a last-minute order modification to WFD via PM yesterday, but I don't think it has been applied. Should I have sent that to you instead, jdcarpe? I just wanted to have 65x Cherry MX Clears instead of the 65x Cherry MX Greys.  Thanks!

Took care of it.

And thanks! :)
