Quick Update
« on: Thu, 20 November 2014, 23:07:07 »
This will be the last sale for V2 BroBots. I hope you all enjoyed this particular design as much as I have. I have always envisioned taking a base
product, and upgrading it over different versions. I am excited to share some new things with you guys very soon. There will be new versions of
older designs coming, as well.

Thanks so much for your interest over the past 2 years. And I hope to continue making products you enjoy. I am always open to feedback, so feel free
to message me and share.

It's sad to see such a great design leave but I know whatever you have in store will be incredible.
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

Flat and rectilinear - I love the design of the BBV2.  And the range of colours is fantastic!

Thank you for producing it :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

So can you give us any sneaky info on when the sale will be? Also I hate that I got into this hobby this late, these caps are by far my favourite and I have not had a chance to get one yet.

What are you thinking retiring the fine V2? Other cap makers still have their popular designs. Do what you must, I know whatever is next will be better than the previous generation. Sad we never actually got aluminum anodized V2s.

Hi bro.
I never got the chance to have one but fret not, therapy has treated me well...
Even though I don't have one I see the amount of joy (and jealousy) your V2s has brought to the community and well, if it's the last sale, it better end with a bang!

Hope I can won one, been quite lucky (too lucky...) with giveaways relating to this lovely hobby and win my first Brobot.

Excited and can't wait! Thank you for the opportunity!

Very sad, was desperately hoping for an alu V2. Sad to see the V2 design go but I understand, it's time to work on something new.

Good luck with your upcoming designs, can't wait for the final V2 Sale  :thumb:

I am not long in the wanting-a-BroCap-game and it saddens me a little that the V2 will be retired as I really like the design. The V2 is the main reason I started paying at these artisan caps. I am sad that I can't say I have one, but this will be the design that made me look at artisan caps and made me respect the efforts all artisan cap makers put into their craft.

I am really looking forward to what the V3 will be like, I know it will be gorgeous.

Does this mean there will be no more V2's ever? Or will their production just be massively scaled back but we still might see one or two pop up randomly in future sales?

Ive been a die-hard V2 collector so I'm really sad to see the end of the road for this design! I've been luckier than most having gotten into more sales than I've struck out on. I'm going all out on this final sale, whatever the max amount of caps allowed is what I'm going to shoot for, even if it means living on ramen noodles for 2 weeks after  :))

Really excited to see whats in store for V3! I'm sure whatever is behind the curtain is going to blow our collective minds.

Well this is a little sad to hear. Ever since I first learned about artisan keycaps (from reddit sorry guys) I have been wanting to get a V2 without having to get them 2nd hand because I would rather support the artist themselves but it looks like that chance may be getting slim. On the other hand it sure is exciting to hear that you are being successful enough to be able to launch other caps as well.

Keep up the good work!

I appreciate this two years though. It was a great adventure especially the hype leading to a sale. Will miss those days but extremely eager to see how V3 is!

So can you give us any sneaky info on when the sale will be? Also I hate that I got into this hobby this late, these caps are by far my favourite and I have not had a chance to get one yet.

Very soon. I am attempting to make this upcoming sale accessible to as many people as possible.

That means I got a chance!!  ;D

modular, moveable parts, yes?

Your dream keycap?
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada
