Just throwin this out there, since we have so many keys, why not add \| and `~ like the RA 2.0 sets :s

I know these are seen as "alpha keys" but I like how those two combined create a full 'wrap' around the alpha characters.

Like I said, just my $.02 :)

I was thinking the same thing. Some wyse sets need those keys anyways.

I'm considering getting in on this despite not needing anything currently.

A 7x spacebar may end up being useful for some GH60 layouts. We'll have to see. ;)

The Koreans will be interested for sure.  Make sure to choose a better white color than I did. :P
any help would be greatly appreciated in color choice.

imo, the beige spacebar (not the white one) from WASDkeyboards.com comes very close to the white cherry caps. But not sure if he works with SP colour codes.

example with cherry caps and wasd spacebar

Make sure to include spacebars as a separate option so that owners of R3 moogles can get a better color match without buying a whole new set.  Also, please brand these as "round 4", "R4", etc. to identify continuity with previous sets. ;)

sounds good thanks hash will brand this R4 when ordering goes ahead. (im sure it wont be long now the IC form is getting big lol)

will make some adjustments to all the different sets and get everything up soon.

thanks for the pics blighty

YEs, please make a new white spacebar that actually matches the white moogle keys. Also center stemmed, stepped caps lock in Dolch and WYSE.

Those GH60 layouts (1,5 mods + 7 space bar) are designed to fit for a Cherry Corp 2shots. And they all do have a 7 space bar, even a better one than those edged ones SP produces...

It's been said before, but when it comes to keycaps and accessories, you should buy when you have the opportunity. Not for what you currently have, but what you might want in the future. Better to have something you don't really need right now, than need something you can't get later.

For instance, you might think you'll never have or even want a Korean custom keyboard, so you have no need of a tsangan compatibility kit with your keyset purchase. Then later, when you finally obtain one of them, you regret not having the correct keys for the bottom row.

Like already mentioned on DT, a dolch stepped capslock would be cool

from the price quote i got from Melissa im going to include both stepped and center-stemmed caps in the base sets for all kits as it doesn't add much extra.

im going to get a few more quotes on some different sets that others have mentioned and see if we get enough interest when i put up ordering to get them.

GB will go into ordering once all quotes are finalised for the sets im looking at and i figure out color codes and fonts (i want it all sorted first before going into ordering phase so i can have it all in the OP to keep it organised)

should only be a few more days at the latest this thing is moving fast so get on the train choo choo!

That gets expensive FAST :(

I.E. I'm likely going to get all 4 sets here...that's $80 for just Moogle, which means then I'm keeping my eye out for the set's themselves (minus my WYSE) and at a low of $50 a set...!

But I 'spose I do agree.

i've added updated price list for the "BASE" kit i want to do for each set.

also getting quotes on the following:

Anti-Caps Kit: for swapping control and caps lock.
1 x Control (1.75x)
1 x Caps-Lock (1.25x)

ISO Adapter Kit:
1 x Enter
1 x Backslash/Pipe
1 x ISO left Shift (1.25)

anything else i should add to get quotes on before moving this to ordering?

Is your ISO adapter kit for using an ANSI set on an ISO keyboard?  If so, you should probably just call it an ISO kit since that is what they are usually called.  Also, "ISO adapter kit" in the R3 moogle buy was the opposite, adapting an ISO set to work on an ANSI board.

yeah i pretty much just copied it from your R3 using the pics at DT for:

Anti-Caps Kit: for swapping Control and Caps Lock

ISO Adapter Kit: for using an ISO Cherry set on an ANSI keyboard

should i do both? gah so confusing and this being my first GB lol.

also thinking of doing like a full wrap kit:

1 Tab
1 Backspace
1 Enter
1 ~
1 \

Tab, Backspace, and Enter make up "full mod kit." You could add ~ and \ to the base set if you wanted.

ok sounds good if people are happy with adding ~ and \ to base set it shouldn't be much extra and i'll just do the normal "Full mod kit"

as well as the proper ISO KIT (what is this excactly, fat ISO enterkey?)

also single spacebars as requested.

lots to add!

add it to the FULL MOD SET then like i was originally going to do and call it "FULL WRAP SET" to get what people want out of those keys anyway lol.

someone said something about it being part of RA 2.0 Base set.

either way nothing is set in stone yet just getting ideas so i can figure out what the final lineup will be.

Ragnorock started this with his RA2.0 GB. Makes it so the contrasting modifiers completely wrap around the alphanumerics. SP has followed suit with their "stocked" modifier kits. I personally don't like it, since traditionally those keys are the same color as the alphanums. But I guess some people prefer it.

I just dug through my email history, here are the colors I used for the last round.  I think they're all a really good match except for the NN on WFK white keys.

Black: WFK on NN, NN space bar
White: NN on GAW and NN on WFK, WFK space bar
Dolch: WFK on GEW, GE space bar

have compared the wasd-space with the original cherry one. the wasd-space is more white than i thought. But have seen a picture where someone compared the CCnG space with the original one and its nearly the same color. (cant find that anymore) This cream cheese color code was WCK.

It all depends on the quality of your set and lighting. Personally I think CCnG was the best match. The WASD light grey still looks a bit too grey to my eyes, and I'd rather err on the white side than the grey side of the scale.

My signature hasn't changed since 2012. I should really update it.

Hmm no I wasn't aware of it. We have plenty enough keys for now though I may add it as an extra. Will try and get some mockups done today and get color codes finalised before putting it into full GB ordering mode :)

(If anyone can help with mockups please pm me)

I can modify my mockups from R3 to fit your sets.  Also will take some pics of color samples next to real Cherry keys for color choosing purposes.  Gimpster posted some pics that are now buried somewhere in the R3 thread that showed the possible choices for Dolch, and the ones we used were pretty clearly the best.  We could maybe try to find a better gray/beige for the white sets, but I think the previous rounds have been quite good.  The only real question in my mind is choosing a new off-white color for the white kit spacebars and backslashes (and tildes I guess).

The only real question in my mind is choosing a new off-white color for the white kit spacebars and backslashes (and tildes I guess).

yeah that would be great, i think as others have said the CCnG white spacebar would make a good match. WCK

arn't all fonts just going to be cherry?
