8 keyboards in a year?
I joined last spring, but have done at least 3 or 4 times that, since I have access to a lot of variety.
I have only bought 1 in a direct new "retail" setting (a Leopold from Elite) but have gotten several free from friends or garbage piles, bought a dozen or two from salvage houses/yard sales/thrift stores, and another dozen or more on ebay (including rawko).
Of these, I have kept less than a quarter of them, sold a quarter of them on ebay, parted out a quarter of them, given away a few, and donated a quarter of them back to charity. If my numbers do not add up to 100%, it is rounding errors.
So now, I have a small collection of very nice boards, a handful up for sale, and a big pile in the corner of the garage waiting for various rehab/repair/re-assembly projects, and an irritated wife.
You are probably wise to keep your numbers down.
PS - an atheist would have great difficulty getting elected in the US. that "separation of church and state" stuff has not been taken seriously by the majority of the voting public since around the time of the Civil War.
